  1. "We need to take the emotion out of it" Now apparently we didn't listen. Same as the players don't listen when we have lost. Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. I really want to have some belief in this guy, because I don't have any modicum of belief in anyone above him. But all I see and hear is a blagger.
  2. I'd love to be in the same room as him. I can assure you that I wouldn't be 'fawning all over him'. Quite the opposite.
  3. The club know the discontent. If sales were going well, they would be shouting it from the rooftops at the earliest opportunity. The silence speaks volumes.
  4. 'Legend' is a term far too easily used. Nonetheless, I have no particular problem with the term with reference to his playing days. I wouldn't use it myself in that context, but I can understand the exuberance that would lead to it. 'Club Legend' is not only short of the mark, but is absolutely laughable given his history post playing.
  5. And maybe, just maybe, we will get to the Premier League under the Lansdowns. Neither scenario the remotest bit likely.
  6. I'll say it again. When I was at Ashton Gate in the Eighties, I used to dream of it looking somewhat like it does now. If only I had known how it would impinge on the atmosphere and matchday experience. Would I want the return of the AG of the Eighties? No. But sometimes.. ...yes.
  7. Aah... the old "legs have gone" statements, when the whole team are struggling. People on here saying that about Nahki a few weeks ago. Just because someone is over 30. Pathetic.
  8. Might be up for that. Zummerzet, not Gloz though.
  9. Well, guess what Steve? A lot of your football fans are bored ****less of football right now. S.U.A.F.O.
  10. Thanks for reminding me. No sell-on clause for Andy Cole. Probably the most knuckleheaded decision pre-Lansdowns. Plenty since, mind.
  11. Still not his place to be interfering. I honestly wish that he would just appoint himself as head coach of both the football and the rugby. That's what he wants to be.
  12. I'm not talking about the first part of the season. I'm talking about now when our games are 'dead rubbers'. And I am also talking about his non-existent record of blooding youth in his career to date. You're welcome.
  13. He has explained how he comes to that figure. Whatever the figure is, it ain't cheap. How about responding to his general point, rather than semantics?
  14. Fair enough. I don't have much faith in him, as I am sure you can tell, but as I have stated it's the hierarchy that my problem is with. I genuinely hope that Manning proves me wrong. And that is possible. I can't say the same for the ownership.
  15. So nobody worth giving a chance at either Oxford or here, despite looking. Okay then.
  16. Smacks to me of someone that knows that he doesn't have what it takes to nurture them. Which is fair enough from his point of view. But then why come out with shite like the above? And it doesn't fit with this club's professed agenda. Of course, they could always force him to blood the youngsters and make him do what his predecessor had to. They ****ing won't though.
  17. Nope. I think that's about it. Except for the previous two decades of similar, of course.
