  1. They obviously left their donkey jackets on the coach
  2. How this man keeps getting a job is beyond me, most overrated manager of recent times
  3. Only one meeting a year, in August or September I think, it obviously has to coincide with tide times, only in Ireland
  4. The racing festivals in Ireland are great, Galway in August is crazy and on a lower level Listowel in September, both are always a good craic, plenty of other good festivals in Ireland as well over the year
  5. Lets really piss Plymouth off and put in a bid for Whittaker
  6. You’d think Semenyo & Scott (2 great players) would improve us massively though our finishing league positions the last two seasons might suggest otherwise or are we just over-achieving this season without them ?
  7. That’s because you were doing it wrong, in KW it was a hot poker
  8. Can’t believe this has even been bought up, a player has a choice of staying on £5000 a week and playing at the likes of Rotherham, PNE etc or he can multiply his salary 6 fold and play at Anfield, Old Trafford Emirates etc, it’s a no brainer for a player and rightly so and the truth is that we have very little say in the matter and all we can do is try and get as much money as possible for a player
  9. Actually I didn’t know the exact figures but that was quite a strike force
  10. When Donawa got that last minute winner against them in about ‘93? Released many many years of frustration, in my top three of best days ever at AG
  11. People forget that in our promotion year to the top flight he actually out-scored Cheesley
  12. It was a figure of speech, of course that cup win there was very special but i think we paid for that for the rest of the decade !!!
  13. They're known for Donkey jackets not "Denham" jackets (whatever they are)
  14. I give you watching us let in 7 at Northampton in the early '80s, travelling up to Tranmere on a Friday night in '89 to watch us lose 6-0 and every game against Rovers in the 1980's
  15. Out of those seven i would only class 20 year old Conway and 33 year old Wells as out and out centre forwards, both have been injured and/or out of form for much of the season, it's patently obvious then and now we need a CF and i would of put that need in front of all our other recruitments, just my opinion mind.
  16. We needed a striker in the summer but whatever money we had went elsewhere, for me we needed a striker more than anything, hopefully Manning can pull some rabbits out of the hat in this month’s transfer window
  17. These prices constantly puts my boys and many of their friends off, they play on Saturdays so can only make a few games a season prices permitting
  18. You’re probably right, not sure how many we took to Watford on Boxing Day but we sold out our allocation at Brum last Friday night which was decent considering there is no late trains back to Bristol from New Street
  19. Read somewhere that the line is closed between Swindon & Bristol because of flooding, going back to away following you do have it tough because of restrictions and to be honest I wouldn’t be bothered with all the hassle, it’s why I stopped going to the Welsh away games because they were “bubbles” our away numbers have been excellent this season and figures are slightly distorted due to midweek/Friday away fixtures at far off places like Hull & Blackburn
  20. This is so funny, the guys on a wind-up surely
  21. Anyone paying that sort of money must have more money than sense
  22. In 1977 we beat Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal (home and away) Spurs & Leeds to stay up in the top flight ‘ave some of that
