  1. Anyone paying that sort of money must have more money than sense
  2. In 1977 we beat Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal (home and away) Spurs & Leeds to stay up in the top flight ‘ave some of that
  3. That was a good few years before, possibly 84/85 although trouble between us and Millwall was a regular thing
  4. That Rovers game on Good Friday was mental, the most I’ve ever seen City have at Eastville, had to stand on the dog track because the Muller Road end was so packed
  5. I was there, they battered us but I thought we were 1 up at H/T !! Remember it for being only one of a very few games payed that day
  6. Funnily enough one of my memories of that game was Grade sat at the end of a row in the second block nearest the open end, had a cigar in his mouth all game, pretty lively at the end of the game as well by the park !!!
  7. Agree 100%, the 1980’s were a horrendous time with many bad memories of our many defeats against them, I never want to see us play against them again during whatever time I have left on this earth, we’d be in a lose-lose situation every time.
  8. Good point, I would imagine racing attracts many many more spectators in a year than women’s football, the Epsom Derby used to regularly attract a quarter of a million
  9. Something tells me I’m into something good?
  10. Maybe it was whi-eye Whitehead on the wing ?
  11. I must of been singing it wrong all through the ‘70s then
  12. For those old enough the old “eye eye Whitehead on the wing” song ?
  13. Absolutely no point in getting in dialogue with you so i'll leave it there
  14. That's rich coming you, it's about the only thing you've talked about in the past two months, practically every day without fail, most of NP backers seem to have come around to the fact that although they weren't happy with the decision (which is fair enough) they have now accepted it whereas you can't seem to hide your angst
  15. All of this is spot on, NP did as well as anyone could expect for which he deserves as much credit as many on here is/was giving him, for me his time was up and the decision made came at the right time
  16. In my long life it's been the same every season, i dread to think what it would be like if they ever found themselves in 8th place in the championship
  17. Agreed, i hate these disrespectful and offensive comments
  18. I was all for NP going (that's not too say he didn't do a decent job) and all for the appointment of Manning, at the moment it is far, far too early to say if Manning was the right choice or not but the signs are good and he is getting something out of Memheti that NP couldn't which is like having a new player, also the style of play is generally easier on the eye, all about opinions i suppose but it really is time to consign the NP era to the history books, he'll be greatly appreciated by many on here for "steadying the ship" which is fair enough but for me i had had enough and felt he had taken us as far as he possibly could and a change was needed and possibly over-due but as i say, it's all about opinions.
  19. Merry Christmas too you also, let’s hope the new year brings some exciting times
  20. You are joking ? You hijacked every single thread by bringing up the injustice of NP being sacked, (with others) I stopped coming on here for a few weeks because it was so monotonous, I’m just glad that everyone now has seemed to of moved on
  21. Merry Xmas to all our emergency service workers having to work today particularly our wonderful nurses, let’s hope you all have a quiet one
  22. Does anyone know if any of these buses go down the Wells Road?
  23. So young, so cruel, life can be such a bitch, cherish every day R.I.P. Chris
