I really hope the comeback to that was, “why the **** did you pick Dean Holden, you football cretin.”

I saw someone suggesting it may have been Tinnion questioning King's selection over academy players, would make sense. Who else in the hierarchy does NP actually speak to?

Perhaps. He is a major difference maker hut trying to think of games where he may have tipped the balance Hull away maybe? Point or 3 at home v Stoke?

Immediately thought of Hull and West Brom, but we had a spell with chances towards the end at Leicester and certainly could have done with him on the pitch on Saturday. At least 4 extra points from those four games with TC on I’m convinced of that. There’s not really a type of goal he can’t score

    Am reasonably happy.

A few less injuries would be a real help, both for the 1st XI and competition, depth- that can help to improve the overall picture.

A fully fit Conway for a long period, I think he can and will go up a level provided he remains fit for prolonged periods.

1.5 ppg is solid. The playing style generally quite enjoyable too.

Oh please, please, please back NP sensibly in the market, offer him a 3 year deal and offer him most of the power over the squad and transfer activity.

He already has. You could tell in pre-season. With him in the side we have an extra 4 points minimum this season, he really is that difference maker.

  4. For authenticity pre-match get down the orchard for proper West Country cider and a traditional ciderhouse. The West Country is the spiritual home of cider and it’s a real art down here. It’s a constant theme in a lot of the greatest poets and musicians work from the South West. Just go careful if it’s your first time, bends your legs. If not there’s the three lions, which is old school Bristol City personified in a pub. El Rincón is also a fun place very near the ground which is a little Spanish nook that has been adapted into our fan culture. Try different things pre-match and you’ll find your ‘place’ and favourite routine. Most of us do the same thing and visit the same places before every home game, it’s part of the day and often much more enjoyable than the football itself. Lots of suggestions for the fan zone, it’s okay but very family orientated, pints are flat and expensive. not quite the authentic experience you can get away from the now quite commercialised (but lovely) ground. If you are going solo get into a pub, perch at the bar and strike up conversation, people will be friendly and interested in your story. Depends what you’re into though and the vibe you prefer.

I don’t know. He’s a clever chap. I think he’ll be aware that there’s a little bit of pressure on SL around a new deal, he’ll be using that subtly I reckon.

I would be very surprised if we wouldn’t be hearing more ‘for as long as I’m here’ type talk, if there was genuinely zero movement or word on the contract. He’s talking like someone who knows his future is secure and is here.

Incredible that Joyce has managed to put on 25lbs of solid muscle in the 5 months since the first Zhang fight. Suspicious one might even say!

I bet there's no VADA testing for the rematch haha.

To be fair, he looked a bit pot bellied at the weigh in.

Two hours ahead and just seen the ridiculously long Warren undercard, with **** all of substance on there, and we’re not even done with the YouTube part yet. Will be a slog to watch this one

Explain Luton then. Spent eff all. Even have Woodrow.

You’ve missed the point. I think it’s perfectly possible for us to both get promoted soon, and to pick up results against the top teams, but that doesn’t mean we can go into games away at the King Power without serious caution and expect to get anything. Did Luton get promoted playing attacking gung ho football against the parachute sides or did they play those games as an organised unit?

    Apparently

    We "Miserably parked the bus"

Plus they "Should and or could have won by 3 or 4".

    Couple of comments off Foxestalk

    Typical PL arrogance or?

No, they’re perfectly entitled to make those comments and we would probably be doing the same in their position.

But it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. We’ve gone blow for blow with parachute teams in the past couple of years and been put to bed by the hour. We stayed in the game until the last second and had chances to nick something. That was always going to be the plan and we could have executed it. They’ve got to accept that with 70 million quid worth of talent on their bench most teams in this league can’t compete without attempting to stifle them, barring the ones that have the finances to do so. It’s just the way it’s going to be for Leicester this year, and they should deal with it. Blame the extravagant and ever-widening gap in finances between the Premier League and the Chanpionship, not us.

  9. They will win this league in third gear. Look at some of the players we were up against today. The season they will spend here is a complete anomaly. When the gulf in class and finances are so huge between two competitors in team sport 95% of the time you’ll get the same outcome. Next Saturday is the type of game to define our season, not today. And we had something confirmed today… we’ve got one hell of a defence.

This lot will do us proud. Onwards and upwards
