Gave it a watch as it was two raw novices and really you don't get these type of match ups in pro boxing as they're still protected at this stage. Added circus though made it a cringe fest and unwatchable, maybe would've been bareable buried low on a card

No point at home to Hull.
Against the Welsh, London slags or any team bringing numbers, it's a grand idea to pack that block and provoke an atmosphere.
Seems to be the way it's been so far. Big away following = big atmosphere, but it struggles to get going for the visit of a few hundred Northerners.

What would you rather… a win on Tuesday or Saturday against Cardiff?

Has the Ultra thing fizzled out? I couldn’t hear anything coming from A block in the Dolman
They’re still giving it a go but doesn’t seem to be catching fire

So it was Hummel kit signed off in the autumn, and O'Neills have now had to design and produce new kits in 4 weeks?
Or did we give them the Hummel designs and tell them to "make this", and then sorted Hummel's complaints out in the background?
Sorry, are you saying we're changing kit halfway through a season? Have we had EFL clearance for that? EFL reg 39.1 says that "No changes either in the kit or combination of colours of kits shall be permitted during the course of the Season." We are allowed one home game per season where we wear a different kit (see the 125th anniversary game v Fulham a few seasons ago), are you saying that tomorrow is that one game?
Yes that’s what I was saying

I don't know.
My point was that if it was a Hummel kit signed off then switching to O'Neills may, or may not entail a new design. If Hummel retained ownership of the designs then we would not be able to simply take them and give them to O'Neill's and say "make this" (unless we compensated Hummel). If we in fact own the designs then it would be easier. All subject to the terms of our contract with Hummel of course.
I therefore think it's more likely that we were in talks with O'Neills quite early on, and those designs were O'Neill designs.
I don't know an awful lot about lead times and design times etc, but the fact that the standard timeline is that designs get signed off in September/October of a season, I'd suggest that 4 weeks (being the time since Alexander took over) is a very short period in which to design from scratch, or even adapt existing designs, and then launch a kit.
It’s been chaos, Pearson himself only found out a few days ago, I know the Man City game is what sped the whole thing up but not sure how long talks have been ongoing. We’re wearing it tomorrow

Why would we ditch Hummel after signing a 6 year contract with them.. think the OP might be having us on..
Nope! Bang on. JL fuming at Hummel. Lots of failed promises, financial messes lingering as well. Was going to wait but decided to pull the plug before the globally televised Man City game. Will also be next seasons home kit, away kit will go to the third kit and be replaced. Don't think away will be popular, but harks back to the Thorn Security early 90s kit

He’s right. Double pin striped home kit and Norwich esque yellow and green away. Announced tomorrow

Not just the numbers on the shirts that would be new, from what I’ve heard!

It always surprised me to hear Martin named as 'biggest moaner' and the like in club social media videos. I don't think he's necessarily the model pro many think/thought he was.

Agree with you mate. He would have been back in his corner in seconds, at least give him that minute to see how he is.
Clearly Davison was protecting his fighter but give him a chance.
A clinch away from a minute in the corner mate

Good stoppage? Not for me. 10 seconds left and the referee clearly prepared to give him all the time in the world. He came back from the dead against Conlan.

He had a much better round in the 3rd but Lara hits like a mule.
High quality stuff… Lara is a mental pick out of a crowd from Wood, full credit to him

Looking ominous for Wood.

So is Wood a proper world champ now? I seem to remember after the Xu win there was a lot of poo-pooing over his legitimacy, but haven't seen or heard the word 'regular' at all during this coverage. What was the situation there?

Really?? It's as clear a penalty as you'll see
It’s the tug on the shirt coming from JD that causes their player to go down and tap the legs out, just an observation not complaining at all!

I'd like to see the Sykes one again, wasn't convinced at the time but TV wasn't clear.
The one we got is a Pen IMO, more like a Rugby Tap tackle. If he'd have pointed the other way for our penalty, I genuinely don't think we could have many complaints...

I agree but Pearson has hinted he played 3 at the back due to a lack of trust in our centre halves. Having kalas at left CB changes the way we play. He’s not as confident on the ball as Rob plus he’s not left footed . It means ( I might be wrong) it means Pring has to drop 5 yards . It’s a knock on effect . Not as simple as just replacing a player imo
Kalas is just fine on the ball! Rarely gives it away, can see a good pass, can drive into space and has the odd marauding run in him. He's more technical than he's given credit for, not just good for diving in the way of shots.

That is a real shitter. We don't get as many niggles anymore, but we do lose important players to big injuries

Notice how there was no celebration after the penalty, only an urgency from the entire team to get back in position and have a go at winning the game in stoppage time.
My biggest hope when Nige arrived was that he would be able to instil a belief into us that we can go to anywhere in the Championship with the confidence we can win, not settle for anything less just because we're little old Bristol City, just because of who we're playing or where we are. It looks to me like that mentality, the one of winning, is beginning to take over the squad.

Dare I say it but I thought it was actually a little disappointing? Must be mad because everyone else is raving about it. Good in spells for sure. Man City fans were great
