  1. Vyner has been on the receiving end of some pretty bad abuse in the past, often the scapegoat. What he feels he owes us I don’t know. If there is an offer on the table and it’s as yet unsigned that may give an indication. Has there been any official word on that? Just a fear of mine. He oozes class and there’ll be a long line of suitors particularly if he is somehow improving even further. Of course, you could argue the club itself stuck by him and they did, but I remember being in away ends where he was quite viciously singled out during bad team performances. Online too. All love now, but that sort of thing tends to linger for the individual.
  2. Munich is a wonderful city. The club have a grand history and seem like fun to play for. Maybe he doesn’t give a shit about the Premier League goal record and simply wants to experience something different in his life (and career) before the chance has gone? Would be a refreshing move in my opinion.
  3. In possession of Scott or not, we still need a better alternative than Weimann. His best performances and spells for us have come as a striker. He is perhaps even preferable as a right winger before a CAM.
  4. Vyner continuing his form and then some today. Thought he was excellent
  5. Telling me I’m in an unauthorised country despite being in the arse end of Slovakia. So infuriating, centred the day around watching this!
  6. Surprised by some of the outcry I’ve seen to this. Can see exactly why Scott would prefer to play for Bournemouth. Or at the least what they can convincingly sell to him. Ambitious club on the up, new ownership, exciting manager wanting to play energetic front foot football, new stadium around the corner, big wages, and a strong chance of holding down a first team spot. I don’t think it’s a bad move if he is given game time, they may not have a big fan base but they can still offer a damn sight more than we can right now. That’s just the order of things, even if not historically.
  7. It would probably signal to me that we are going to see quite a lot more movement than expected in terms of outgoings this summer
  8. I would hope he is being signed primarily to play further forward and to compete with Bell at LW. Pring, Bryan and Bell. What a left side that would be, spanning an entire decade of academy talent.
  9. ‘Saloon Dion’ - ‘I Don’t Feel’. South Bristol as **** those boys. They’ve bee Lucky enough to head to Texas for South by South West recently. First band in living memory who’ve made it from the Hartcliffe/Bemmie stretch.
  10. So I edit this magazine. Real labour of love. Positive comments well they’re music to ears. I think it’s important we look back In years to come and have reference points as a fan base, when you dig slightly deeper we are one of the most creative out there and I think it’s a shame that isn’t exploited more. There’s a lot of talented people that support Bristol City, I think that should be demonstrated. At the same time, i love the fact it’s all new to certain people/groups, it shouldn’t be a closed off thing. The magazine is on a great tracjectory, I’d love to see where it ends up. Up the City
  11. Fun game to watch despite us getting humped. They are brilliant
  12. Few expected Scott to have the prolonged impact he has had, Bell wasn't seen as ready to step up, for a while neither was Conway. Most of the 'tips' from the academy over the years have ended up in the builders leagues. In all likelihood the next starlet, and the one after that, will come largely out of nowhere. You've no idea if a player is ready until they get their chance!
  13. God, you’ve just made me realise we’ve had two home games since Sextone passed and not a single meaningful tribute. That really is a disgrace
  14. AB's double injury has still been, without doubt, the biggest disappointment of this season.
  15. Do they? Or are you finding a double meaning where there isn't one? He commented on both what a good job he thinks Pearson is doing and that they have a very good working relationship, did you listen to the interview?
  16. I think that's insane, they've not only appointed Pearson in the first place but have had plentiful chances to get rid since. Far too much being read into a chairman not wanting to publicly discuss contract talks
  17. Absolutely no chance he leaves. He loves living here, has bought land in the area, and isn't shallow enough to chase a bit of extra cash at this stage in his career. He comes across as someone who is really keen to see this job through. As for contract talks, we've only just come through a patch that had us three points off the relegation zone. In terms of what could be read from JL's words, it sounded like he probably wants to make sure we continue making good progress on the pitch before offering an extension. And as he says - there's still a year and a half left and he's not going to discuss the matter on the radio before discussing it with NP.
  18. There hasn't been a clearer direction at this football club for a long time. Everyone pulling in the same direction. Whether we've found/stumbled across this style of play it suits us down to the ground. I have a good feeling about next season and the business we're going to pull off in the summer.
  19. That’s not to say he wouldn’t improve playing against this kind of opposition either. It’s a one off game and something he can learn from going forward. He is a much improved player who has only recently settled into himself here, but that’s not to say he can’t make further adaptions to his style of play going forward. Plus there are just things you can get away with in the Championship that you can’t against Manchester City and this is the first time he’s played against world class opposition to find that out. There wasn’t a player for us out there that didn’t struggle with having less time to think at some point tonight. Vyner is nowhere near culpable for singled out criticism if that’s why this thread has been bumped
  20. I’d agree with that, pretty mesmerising football to be seeing for the first/second time, a lot of the time hard to take your eyes off it and tear into a song!
