  1. Bit of both I reckon. City were pretty average and no better than that. How matey missed at the end I have no idea and that would be yet more points dropped late on. However, the support / noise was brilliant on Saturday and that has to be a massive positive and must've helped the team dig out a result.
  2. Fair play. You were bored and looking for nibs and now you have 3 pages. Mission accomplished!
  3. I hate the saying 'free hit' but this is pretty much one of those. I don't mean that as f@ck it lets just get this over with. I mean let us go out there and really have a go. Defending 0-0 is only going to end one way so I'd really like to see us come out the traps early and set out an attacking intent. Appreciate this could back fire but having a go would be preferable than sitting back. Tin hat time.
  4. I agree with most of that. However, given that we were already sliding toward the situation we find ourselves in long before LJ finally went. We then opted for a mind blowing gamble that never paid off. So City only had options 2 & 3. It seems to be conveniently forgotten that there have been difficult times at Plymouth for Ryan Lowe. Plymouth are top of League One now but how often has that happened in his tenure? There seems to be a perception that he plays 'attractive football'? As I live in Devon, I've seen Plymouth play and unfortunately know a lot of Plymouth fans (fickle bunch) and believe me it ain't that pretty. In addition, League 1 is nowhere near the standard of the Championship. Long and short of it is that to have appointed Ryan Lowe or similar at the last appointment stage would have been a disaster. NP has been appointed and he came in to this situation with his eyes wide open. He may or may not succeed but I'm willing to bet he has more chance than a Ryan Lowe type appointment. Navigate this season and kick on next is the best I feel we can hope for. That's because of a recent history as mentioned above and it's going to be a time consuming restructure job for experienced heads and not the time for an untried 'one for the future'.
  5. Ryan Lowe's record speaks for himself or itself? Doesn't really matter. I don't prescribe to the not 'big enough name' view either. Ryan Lowe has no track record in any league above League 1 and even then what makes him such a great choice? Another untried (See Holden) option would be sinking without a trace right now in the current predicament City are in. More dead wood than Teignmouth beach still here even after the lot that have already gone. Yes things are pretty sh!te and yes I think that will continue for the rest of this season at least. It can't be all ripped up and started again because it has reached such a bad point that there is no way we as a club can buy our way out of this. The important thing is to stay up this year and I believe experience in the shape of NP will keep us up. Another Championship Rookie Manager / Management Team before NP's appointment would have been an utter disaster.
  6. I loves the Sooty & Sweep one. Brilliant !!
  7. Maybe they got him mixed up with Seth Armstrong.
  8. And little matey sat in front of them with his curly quiff, hood up and also with his little fist clenched. The absolute gift ....
  9. Wasn't it 7:1 or 7:2 on a Sunday? I think it meant we ended the weekend in 92nd place i.e. bottom of Division 4. School wasn't a great experience the next day either ?

Agree with your first paragraph. However, you didn't see and coverage of the BLM marches in London then?
  11. I'm not sure I agree there RR. I think he is referring to him not being robust enough / physically mature enough. In my experience that is something that can be nurtured over a spell of time if managed properly. My feeling is that if Nige feels / felt that Britton had a questionable attitude then he'd have no future at City in any case.
  12. I did overlook the Bookies favourite for promotion and the prisoner to be (please please please) really believing his own guff talk being equally as bullish. The 21 years actually feels longer than that TBH !
  13. I'm not having Ralph Minge FFS ? Ralph Milne was a bag of fanny which is about as close as I can get!
  14. We all know the Gash are total ****. However, despite this I really don't think they will go down (I know people will be waiting for a punchline). I obviously do want them to go down and even going out of business would be hilarious. I think this is too much to expect though, so them bouncing around the bottom 5 of the basement and serving up more laughs will do me. There must be so many more gifts coming our way so strap yourselves in, sit back and enjoy.
  15. I'm pretty sure Afobe is proper f@cked again (technical term). Unless I dreamt that, which is a definite possibility.
  16. To quote Kevin Keegan. 'I'd luuvve it'. He'd make things so much worse.
  17. Not that old to be honest. I was singing that a lot last season. Come to think of it I was also saying ..... give us a shot.
  18. Quite refreshing to come back on to this thread and not having a bleating Derby fan going on about appeals and other little sh!t ideas to weasel out of this. I'm waiting to hear the next instalment of punishment. Another 9 points deduction please. Off you little trot to League 1 and hopefully beyond.
  19. So they are f@cked then. Good.
  20. I hope the above in bold comes to pass. Sick of Derby County FC, Derby County Board and associated cronies and Derby fans trying to weasel out of the punishments that are long overdue. I hope it's good riddance to at least League 1 and beyond.
