Listening to Ben Garner on BBC Radio Bristol today, he did make one interesting comment. This was that he thought League 1 & 2 should start next season one or two weeks before the Premier League and Championship. I would agree, their seasons other than playoffs are over. It could certainly be financially beneficial TV etc and might help some of the lower league clubs that would otherwise struggle , to survive.

Whilst I know that many people myself included earn less than £2500 , it is not correct to say we are paying 80% of his wages, as I suspect he earns somewhat more than £2500 a month. Just listening to LJ on TALKSPORT talking about how he keeps in touch with the players . No mention of potential cuts to players salaries and no mention of casual staff being laid off. More to do with players ringing up fans who are over 70 who have birthdays during this time and spending 20 minutes or so chatting to them, which I thought was a nice touch.

The statement read 25% of annual salary which I presume excluded any bonuses as they weren’t mentioned and also as there are no games there are no bonuses. So in effect the reduction on players earnings could be greater than 25%

I was in ASDA this morning buying a newspaper. Clear signs saying max of 3 of any one item. A women puts 12 cans of potatoes in her trolley, I told her limit was 3 of any item but she just ignored me and carried on adding another 4 cans. Everyone was looking at her and her partner/husband was looking slightly embarrassed. Great when she got to the till and they would only sell her the 3 tins.
