Back turned, clearly not deliberate. Defender knew nothing about it.

More that if there was any uncertainty, the referee could have easily not given it and it wouldn't have been a particularly controversial decision in the context of the game.

FWIW, I can absolutely see why it was given. I'd just feel very unfortunate if I were the Blackburn defender. I always hate the penalties where it just hits someone's hand accidentally, rather than them deliberately moving their hand towards the path of the ball.

As someone who also played at CB for a while, I also tend to side with the defenders in these situations 😂

Fair enough, but if he has his arm stretched out - that's a handball whether it's intentional or not

Bas Savage for comedy value. Hasn't been much to laugh about this season.

I remember him falling over with nobody around him one on one versus Yeovil (I think). Everyone just p!ssed themselves laughing.

comedy gold. Marinovic, the goalkeeper we had on loan a few years back is another option in that category.

On a serious one, shame we didn't resign Joe Bryan. Left back is not the biggest problem tbf, but he was a very good player.

Looking around social media and MSM there is a very large number of people unhappy about the cross of St George being amended

7.5k have signed the petition you shared. Hardly a huge number. I'm quite sure 99% of people don't care either way...

  4. Tough one. On the one hand, I think Manning should be sacked. With a few exceptions, the football has been s*** and he looks way out of his depth.

However, I also quite like that we've generally given managers time in the past. One of the most offputting things about modern football is constantly changing managers, including the huge payoffs which we as supporters have to ultimately pay through higher ticket prices etc.

I'd grudgingly give him the summer and some funds. Get rid when it looks like we are in a relegation fight - I'd expect that to come next season in any case.

Although Southgate done abysmally at club level, spending fortunes at Boro on past it wasters, which ultimately led to their relegation and his dismissal. A manager who joined a team as manager after they had been Europa League finalists the season before and came 12th, and 13th the next two seasons, before being 19th and relegated and sacked.

Regardless of how he has done in the England set up, his England side have some of the best players in the World, but have won nothing, and we only ever batter minnows, any time we play a decent side we crumble.

Same as the England team for the last 50 years. Southgate has at least delivered a final
