  1. I think you will find the other teams also played 4 games in 10 days as well, other countries players have also had a long hard season yet it does not seem to have affected a lot of them has it, this constant use of fatigue for players in their teens twenties and early thirties is to me ridiculous. I'm sorry but the manager has to at least take some of the blame when you look at the players at his disposal I would have expected more.
  2. So do you support him or not? as this post is running with the hares and hunting with the hounds.
  3. I'm sorry but that should be curtains for Southgate.
  4. Always seems to be the way 2 steps forwards 1 step back and gets a bit annoying after 50 years like I have endured, it's catch 22 we can't hold on to players because we don't go up and don't go up because we can't hold on to our best players, Buggered if I know the answer though.
  5. Surely not, have you not realised they have signed COD.
  6. Pure guess work, they haven't a clue how it will finish so much can change between now and when the season starts.
  7. My summing up of Tammy Abraham tonight in two words, Bumble foot, sorry but he looked like somebody who had won a competition to represent England maybe he had an off night but if I was him I would not be booking two weeks off in Qatar in November any time soon.
  8. To all the sarcastic b84734ds on here France you know the world champions have taken 0ne point from their opening two games so far, just enjoy the games as a stopgap till the proper season and world cup starts, just because we were pants in the first game means nothing it's a chance to try new formations and players I have no doubt the real England will turn up against Germany and Italy.
  9. A world cup semi final and a Euro final in the ln the last four years isn't exactly pants though is it (and yes I know we didn't win them).
  10. A slight generalisation don't you think? we do have more than our fairshare of idiots but you can't tar all followers of England with the same brush.
  11. At least with the back seats at the Hippodrome you got a small pair of binoculars .
  12. I wonder if he could still jump up and grab the crossbar .
  13. Any tips? mine all need a bit of a summer update, what compost do you use as my bedding plants are looking a bit sad.
  14. To be fair Robbored did say enough quality players which is fair comment, of course they have had some over the years but maybe not enough at the same time.
  15. They don't make programmes like that anymore.
  16. Prefer an Indian myself .
  17. I was thinking of the saving of building 3 or 4 miles of brand new track plus I would expect land to be a lot more expensive in Portishead to build the station due to all the residential constructions going on, but yes the original cost was supposed to be £37 million they should have just got on with it but we all know how building projects fare in this part of the world I give you the music arena and Ashton vale stadium as just two examples.
  18. There are a few office and industrial areas but I don't think there is enough employment opportunity to justify spending the amount the rail line would cost. I have always said they should either build the station at portbury and have a park and rail there or just build a park and ride by the Gordano services if they want to take traffic off the roads, both schemes would be a hell of a lot cheaper, my opinion is that the whole project is an idea who's time has passed.
  19. I think the WFH phenomenon will be the death of this project, the vast majority of people that would have used it to commute into Bristol would have been just the type that can do their job at home in Portishead, this rail link cannot now be justified, the world of work especially office and finance has changed for ever, and well the cost alone £180 million+ is enough to finish it off.
  20. It's a record that I very much doubt will ever be beaten in mine or anyones lifetime, a very unwanted record which will give every city fan for all eternety something to laugh about.
  21. As far as achievments go taking into account the last 40 years yes, in, reality Luton town will never be able to be considered a bigger club than us ever. Which makes the fact that clubs like them and there have been plenty since we dropped out of the top flight all the more frustrating.
  22. They must have forgotten 2008 the year we finished 4th.
  23. Well it certainly wouldn't be last .
  24. That's your opinion, only pure conjecture, nobody knows what might have happened and even one season up there would have been better than the 14 years and still waiting we have all endured since, and some of us have got less time left than others in which to see us finally play again in the top flight.
  25. I think they will both lose and goal difference will be Burnleys saviour.
