  1. There is no way Ashton only got a call in the last few days and just handed his notice in. This sort of move must of been in the works for months if not longer in informal terms.

Glad we are rid. Once you've decided to move on, your hearts just not in it, regardless of how we rate his performance, that's just not good for business.

Hope a successor is announced soon.

  3. I think you highlighted both his pros and cons and for me the jury is still out. Not done enough to warrant a contract beyond the summer yet. Has his moments but he looks like he's doing a job in the DM position but doesn't have the mobility anymore for this side to play further forward where i think he could be more affective.

  4. Those Pearson out chants were well off i thought.

Seem to remember the players saying they wanted/like it earlier in the season.

Personally i've quite enjoyed hearing instructions being called out from the coaching staff this season.

His best performance ever for us?

Like Rene says, he now reads the game so well. He knows where to position himself, he knows what to do when the ball comes to him.

He was already very strong for his age when he came here, but still only 19, he wins physical battles against players much older than him.

When we are passing the ball I feel most calm when he gets it. I don't feel calm when some of the others get it!

First half he was putting out fires in defensive areas, and it seemed like we could only get things going (very rarely) when Massengo got forward.

For someone so young, he is performing at very high levels. Incredible signing. What a fantastic work ethic and determination he has to learn and improve.

I said on here he was a one man midfield in the first half. Bit harsh on Lansbury maybe, but to be fair Lansbury improved a lot second half and that could have been down to us being on front foot more. We were quite deep first half I think.

Next season Massengo and one other, probably Williams our midfield pair. Massengo should only get better, which makes me wonder how good he might become!

He is Terrier like out of possession and composed on it.

He'll be playing top flight football in the next few seasons, I'm sure of that.

Can't believe some don't see it.

  6. Remember their fathers name so had a look at his wiki...

His first match after his promotion was the Football League Two encounter between Bristol Rovers and Bury at the Memorial Stadium on 10 August 2004, in which he sent off Colin Woodthorpe of Bury in the 65th minute.

    Obligatory red card issued!

Let's hope they have a good game and we don't notice them.

This is bloody painful to watch. The players can’t do the basics, it’s fascinating how poor it is. What causes such turgid shite performances? Are these men not professionals?

The Mrs, who knows next to nothing about football now always asks after a game "did they get the basics right?" such is the number of times this season that I've frustratingly cried out that we cant even do that.

It's depressing at times and one of the core reasons we have had a poor season.
