Still waiting for this club to make a statement, as have many clubs outside the premership.

I'm guessing it ain't happening. Very very disappointed with our silence on this. You'd think we would be kind of pissed off too since we with all the others weren't consulted.

I hope we are not bowing down to those above.

The state of what is happening in general is depressing. I just cannot stand the hypocrisy and lies.

It's not about player welfare. It never has been. They wouldn't stay quiet about Europe expansion if it was. Or friendlies on the other side of the world. Against teams in the same damn division.

It makes me sick, how the game is being eroded because of the rich wanting to be richer. The game is borked. Has been going this way since the introduction of the premier league. Give them an inch. They will always take a mile. Until we genuinely fight back. Nothing will change. They will not change.

We give them no replays from 5th round onwards. Not enough. Give them 5 subs. Not enough. A winter break. Not enough.

Nothing will ever be enough until every game they play is a huge money spinner. Preferably in a far away country.

I'm glad we aren't in that horrible money driven and obsessed league. Don't get me wrong, I want us to win every game. But the thought of being with those elitist greedy ******* doesn't excite me.

    Let's not forget here

    - The Premier League has less teams and therefore plays less league games than each division of the EFL

    - They are now sacking off their winter break to have an extended summer break which no doubt means more foreign cups/tournaments in pre season

    - Some teams are straight off at the end of the season for money spinning friendlies abroad. I read today that Spurs and Newcastle play each other in Australia 3 days after the season ends

This is all about the money and power of the PL. I really wish there was some collective action that could be taken to make them realise how important the pyramid is. Refuse to take all loans from PL clubs, let them develop their own youngsters. Stick a 10m tax on every transfer to a PL team.

And I absolutely think a boycott is in order from the EFL clubs. They can say it's in the rules that teams participate but what are they going to do if everyone does it?

    They can't say that.

Man Utd withdrawing that one year set a precedent.

  3. Yeah, as it turns out the EFL clubs weren't consulted.

That is unbelievable imo. It's one thing to be fine with scrapping replays. But the dodgy backroom way they've gone about it should worry everybody.

The game is seemingly being run by a few clubs in the premier league in all but name.

It's elitist, arrogant, scummy. And not to benefit of football as a whole in this country.

The FA should be thoroughly ashamed by this. They are supposed to be the governing body. They are clearly not fit for purpose.

    Absolutely no "if" about it.

Well then, he needs to be first out of the door.

The complete arrogance is unreal and I can only assume its purely ego driven.

And the lansdowns falling for his bullshit once again is actually astonishing.  Complete and utter incompetence to be hoodwinked by what I feel almost inclined to call a charlatan.

  5. Interesting changing of goalposts by the club.  What a shock.

They all got it so easy haven't they. All nice and cushy for them.

Mid table is the very best we can realistically expect with these total clowns at the club.

It's like they don't want to progress. Otherwise it hardly makes any sense to get rid of Pearson.

Ed and Gary were discussing this on Radio Bristol. JL created the pressure on Manning from the get go.

Well he had to give a some kind of reason behind sacking Pearson.

I'd want Tinnion gone along with him.

  7. Ok, so I quite liked how he spoke in the press conference. The proof is in the pudding however....

My issue was never going to be with the head coach that comes in though and always with the structure above.

I look forward to watching us play, seeing how he changes things, and hopefully brings in entertaining/successful times.

  8. Uninspired.

I just can't get to grasps the reasoning to sack Pearson to employ a head coach from Oxford.

So. Judging this season and the appointment fully on the Lansdowns and Tinnion.

Top 6 it is. Team is good enough. Now we supposedly have a "coach" that will do what the experienced manager couldn't.

  9. Like some others have said.

Il be judging this season on Lansdown and Tinnion.

It was stated we sacked Pearson to give us the best chance of promotion, and the sound bites of our squad is good enough.

So that's what I'll judge them on.

If we fail, and if we fail hard, I'd expect a re evaluation of our goals and potential re evaluation of certain peoples remits.

I am not too comfortable with the amount of say and influence Tinnion has with the first team.

  10. This is excellent and will be an important source of reference if we fail on the footballing front, so we can see if accountability (tinnion) has taken place.

I still find it outrageous that we have decided on how the club will play despite not having a head coach.

Just complete and utter arrogance by those that have decided this on the teams behalf.
