  1. God Tammy was good wasn’t he. Came back from like a year out just this week I think, well in.
  2. Has a team ever gotten relegated whilst also having someone win the golden boot?
  3. Who let Le Tiss out? I thought we’d locked the gate
  4. Brain Tinion seeing us shithouse a 1-0 win when we probably should’ve lost 5-0
  5. What does Manning do at HT, play Cillian Murphy sleep stories or what
  6. Not “significant” though. Man City sold like £50m worth of players (think 4) in that window to Soton, none of whose had played for the senior team. £1.5m is a snip. Even discounting the tax for English teams
  7. They sold him for around £1.5m. Considering it was in the same window where they sold Lavia (who also hadn’t played for the senior team) to Southampton for £20m I’m not sure it can count as a “significant fee” in any way
  8. Ok Mr Manning, I’ve heard enough
  9. They still have to live in that place for 5 years or have a relative from there be able to play for the national team. The Home Nations don’t allow naturalisation so Wells was never eligible for us or Wales or Scotland or NI. Same way someone born in Hong Kong isn’t eligible for the Chinese National Team. He’d be eligible for Hong Kong’s. Passport does not equal eligible. Most places you’ll be able to get a passport long before you become eligible to play internationally for them. I, obviously, have a British passport but I couldn’t play for Scotland because I don’t have any Scottish relatives. I could play for Wales though as my granddad was Welsh. That’s how it works here.
  10. He got Welsh parents/grandparents then? Can’t find any info saying he’s eligible for Wales. Not that he’d ever play for them With just the *checks notes* 25 caps as well.
  11. No they absolutely could not. Good lord. We all have separate national teams so of course English, Scottish, Northern Irish and Scottish are nationalities in football. Sweet Jesus lad. The only way any of those you mentioned could play for Wales under FIFA rules is by living there for 5 years. Except the Home Nations all have a gentlemen’s agreement to not pick any naturalised players.
  12. ““It was a tough one on Sunday. We’ve got a young squad of players, Rob Dickie at 27 was the oldest player on the pitch [note: Dickie turned 28 earlier this month, the same age as Harry Cornick]”
