  1. I saw it on the BBC News channel, and enjoyed it. For some reason I thought that it was going to be a series, but obviously not.
  2. He kept MK up, the following season there were a lot of injuries, including the two main strikers. I was surprised that, given those circumstances, he wasn't given a bit more time, but you never can tell with football.
  3. From the CEO's interview today, I don't think it will be another Garner-type. Tisdale being appointed wouldn't surprise me - he lives in Bath, so no major upheaval for him re. family etc, and he fits the club's brief fairly well. Maybe he'll bring Andy Tilson in on the coaching staff, as they worked together at Exeter, and our defence needs sorting out.
  4. I don't think you need to lose any sleep - never going to happen.
  5. Not always! I think it was after the play-off game - a group of Gasheads were walking up a lane near the ground, and an old lady stepped out of her back gate and belted one of them around the head with a frying pan. Has to be one of the strangest "weapons" used in fv.
  6. Please check in after the match to let us know you're safe! I think that quite a few people are finding non-league a refreshing change, less play-acting by players, good food at reasonable prices, can drink on the terraces - can be a good day/night out, as it's not been sanitised by the corporate mob (yet). I speak from fairly recent experience!
  7. A few Millwall fans coming down for this one, great to see so many people supporting their local non-league sides.
  8. I see that Hull turned down West Ham's offer to pay for testing before their EFL cup tie, so it seems to penalise those clubs who do offer themselves up for testing.
  9. My thoughts are with you and your brother's family, he'll always be with you in spirit, especially on match days, I'm sure.
  10. He played in the old 2nd Division (now Championship)
  11. It's on my TBR pile - don't know a great deal about the man himself, so am looking forward to it.
  12. Just need a few poles and some patio chairs, and we'd have another new stand at The Mem.
  13. Feel sorry for the people who will be affected by this. Having attended an event last summer, I can say that all the staff we encountered, (which were quite a few, as we forgot our tickets), were very efficient, friendly and helpful.
  14. Similarly, Frank Lampard's past indiscretions are never mentioned either.
  15. Somebody said that he's now removed them.
  16. Depends how many beers you've had!
  17. Harry Redknap's dog is writing the cheque as we speak.
  18. They've managed to come up with a fair choice of options, considering there's no pot to piss in. The same as any business transaction, money should be refunded if the product is not supplied - that's what all clubs should be doing, football fans' loyalty gets exploited far too often. Following the cancellation of the 2019/20 campaign with four home matches left to play, the Club can now confirm the process for refunds for all supporters, including season ticket holders and fans who had pre-purchased a ticket to one or more of the final fo
  19. Disappointed, was expecting a bit more considering that production staff had previously been involved in InBetweeners, Derry Girls and Motherland. Will give it another go next week.
  20. My Dad used to play for a team called Bath Rovers, in about 1950 I think - before I was a twinkle in his eye!
  21. RIP Buster, and sincere condolences to his family. Although of the blue persuasion, I remember Buster (and his t-shirt) well - one of the games enduring characters who many people respected, regardless of club colours. I hope that he gets a good send-off on his final journey past Ashton Gate.
  22. Didn't Millwall send a postcard to say they would be visiting, and the landlord hid his family in the loft? I vaguely remember seeing the story on the local news.
