I don't need explaining, Brum were singing before the match, did the players do anything for that? No.

If we were 5-0 down I could understand us being so quiet, but we were in the game until it was 2-0 and our fans have been quiet... if the players aren't playing hard enough you cheer them on, you don't moan and groan and sit silent. Plenty of teams play poorly and when their fans get behind them and cheer them on go on to perform better. The negative atmosphere creates a negative and defeatist attitude and that's coming from someone who focuses on negatives over positives. Honestly, our fans were as bad as the team today.

Edit: with the exception of section 82 who tried to do something positive.

    That’s not true mate.

You couldn’t have been at the game ?

I'm in S25 and I'll help but I do think all this S82/Ultras c**p is overblown

If what they do improves the atmosphere yep, I'm all for it but they've also done some really stupid stuff (stupid purile chants-please stop the Joey Bartons mother c**p, throwing stuff onto pitch, invading blocks in the Dolman)

I’m sure you’ve got loads of ideas. You should post them and others will join in ?

Alternatively I can’t wait to see you giving it your all in s25.

    Great post.

  3. Really enjoying this thread so far.

By and large reaffirms the less than 1% of the fan base who use the forum regularly.

Although sometimes I get the the impression they think they are the fan base.

When city are still bang average in 20 years time you’ll honestly ask yourself (well some of you as quite a few will be dead) who are these numpties wasting thousands of pounds on season tickets for themselves and families? Why on earth are they so loyal?

They’ll love the club and feel so loyal for many reasons, but very few will be because when they were young that sat politely in the Lansdown and just enjoyed really watching 90 minutes of division 2 football.

  4. Great day.

    Highlight of the season

See you next year for more.

Exactly as when I was 19 and I’m the sad *** who is still loyal over 20 years later that he’s dragged along all 3 kids to continue this affair.

    Chin up!

Yeah last minute goals happen, we got one last week. You know before the season starts you’re going to be on the receiving end of a few. It’s just happened WAY too much for my liking. Definitely isn’t something that can be taken in to the new season. The defence will be the biggest fix job this summer and he needs to get it right.

It’s not the last minute equalizers it’s the huge individual errors.

Were fortunate none of it matters to this season now.

The summer and 10 games into next season I’d say. If we don’t see improvement by then I think his position starts to become unattainable

Been saying this for a while.

However, our weak as piss mindset and individual errors have to be shouldered in the main by the players.

Gonna disagree with most on here who are throwing there toys out of the pram, we played well and we mighty unlucky to concede right at the end a lucky deflected ball through latched onto by there player. if ball goes anywhere else we clear the ball its just how are luck is going this season... lets be honest we would have taken a point from today and that's what we got, yes we were winning and should have held on but its another point toward safety and a very welcome point...

WBA to be fairly got a soft pen and scored late on otherwise we could of won that game (we are not getting any luck this season keeping fingers crossed its due us next season)... a much better performance and something to build upon...

it’s not toys out of pram, just bored of the huge individual errors and weak as piss mindset.

    Anyway, season almost done ?

I dont think there's any such thing as a Free- just less expensive but the likes of King, James and Simpson are still a big financial outlay.

I genuinely believe that the Lansdown's will be considering their options right now with a view to a change at the end of the season if performances dont improve let alone results.

    We’ll find our soon enough.

Either this all gets better or Nigel will be gone by the Autumn.

So if he spends whatever money is available and buys players that are of a similar standard to those he has brought in so far and 8 weeks into the season we get a new man in - we've lost another season and the budget. If the season ends in a whimper with some more really poor performances then he should go and I dont think it will be a difficult decision for SL to make other than the financial consequences.

    That’s fair enough.

For me last summer was not about rebuilding but dismantling as Steve was fully aware of the impending financial problems that had been created.

This summer is an opportunity to rebuild. However what do we know. Steve might have completely pulled in the purse strings and Pearson charged with nothing but essentially cutting costs.

Its all about parameters. Yours are slightly shorter than mine.

For what it’s worth I don’t think Tanner or Atkinson were bad signings.

King, Simpson we’re frees I think.

Really good post- well said, well written.

Another point I've been considering. Dasilva was one of the players that NP pretty much overlooked and everyone thought he was gone- one of 'the not up for it' brigade. Due to injuries- NP had no choice but to play him and low and behold- he's been one of our better defenders.

When NP feels a player has not performed or hasn't bought in to his 'my way or the highway' philosophy then he really really isnt very pleasant. Everyone then loves it because it's apparently what we need and a breath of fresh air, players have been stealing a living for too long etc.

I think his management skills are outdated and destructive on and off the pitch. That is not to say he hasn't done some good or that he had anything other than a poison chalice. But he's had long enough and I'd like to see him leave at the end of this season.

I’m still willling to give Pearson the summer and then the first couple of months but I can understand how with the end of the season in sight, the performances are pushing people to their own limit.

    Im having a meltdown.

If we weren't so unlucky , had such a bad ref, denied a penalty(s) and hadnt had to compete with Barnsley's parachute payments then....

we'd still be crap, over a year and never two games won in a row. Terrible management, terrible coaching.

    My opinion- get over it.

I think thats acceptable from time to time.

im very pissed off with this evening and recurring problems.

But then I’ve been pissed off with club fir a while.

If we’re honest Pearson hasn’t come in and ruined it for Steve, this has been coming for a while.

We had one of those young organised coaches who spent time on the training pitch. Most people wanted him out….

Things were going wrong with Holden but I’ve always felt he was a victim of circumstance rather than his own ability.

If you are referring to LJ, he had his time and opportunity and blew it year after year.
