  1. Agree with you both. Football side yeah some time and an opportunity brought. Hierarchy above.. wow lot to prove, that's being kind- perhaps damage already done and pretty damn hard to repair any time soon wirh some individuals. Marshall said a certain amount without saying a huge amount in the Podcast although it was nice to hear from him and the two majorly problematic individuals seem majorly secure and not only secure but secure in their present positions unfortunately. Another risk although I hope it isn't the case here is that in a lot of cases being run in a shoddy or a mediocre way will eventually feed into the on pitch stuff. Or at least constrain progress, not necessarily a tactical, technical ability or character of player issue, more poor governance.
  2. IMO.. *The start was 1 part poor, 1 part good. *Then a slump albeit masked by the Cup games. *The two February wins felt like it could have been a platform but.. *Another slump, 4 losses on the bounce, become 5 in 6. *The decent run now. This latter run has got us back to par. Just par. Position inherited: P15W6D3L6F16A16Pts21GD0 40% Win Ratio, 1.4 PPG Currently on a 1.31 PPG and 11 wins from 29, that is 37 93%. Possibly 2-3 points light. Win this weekend and we are all but up to par. The intent in 3, if not 4 of the last 6 has been a welcome indicator however.
  3. Thanks. That accounts for some Mandated by the Safety Advisory Group doesn't fully account for restricted views however. It also reduces scope to split the Atyeo say. I appreciate Restricted views mean lower prices in the relevant areas I assume, I get it on one level. That's more a Commercial rather than Safety rationale though?
  4. Fair points, perhaps yeah. If some of this changed post redevelopment, then it could account for the change in capacity but it seems to have been designated by the Safety Advisory Group.
  5. When we consider that the stand is separate from the other 3, a cloak and dagger cut of anything up to 800 seats...not acceptable. Certainly aligned with the lack of transparency or official announcement. Relative to other Stadia and their segregation by comparison even more so.
  6. Thjs s a bit of a hobbyhorse of mine. *I recall the Atyeo wheb it was a Home Only stand held 4,200. I will try and find it. *That by @IAmNick adds up to 3,900. *However @JerrySLO said 3,414 said the max ae permitted by the SAG for football. That latter point I have a serious issue with, anywhere between 10-20% of capacity has been vanished away into thin air. Or I should say there is a serious transparency issue there IMO. That is 1.5-3% of stadium capacity too *How was the decision arose at? *Who made it? *What was the specific rationale? *Who were the relevant Officers in respect of it? Are wholly valid questions I would say. This bit is from a thread during the redevelopment.
  7. In respect of NP in general..dunno if he reads this place. *All the best with your health. *Hope you flourish in next job. *I do think you merit and hope you get, a relatively cushy job such as a well resourced Parachute club next time albeit in some cases a pressure to get straight back up...but some quite undeserving or in other cases fairly unproven managers get these roles. You are neither. *The Youth development, the Profit on Disposal, the improvement in results and over time 1performance level/underlying numbers with both less players certainly senior ones depth wise and less of a wage bill- very impressive. A solid legacy bequeathed without doubt by NP and his team, and Gould also helped to set the ship in the right direction. You and youth team merited significantly better.
  8. Agree with both, although would counter that new managers try new things..another reason why the change being made when it was in some ways ill-advised, that inevitable attempt at transition often can see points dropped- whereas an orderly handover in the summer you have less flux, less issues..can see what works, what may not work in friendlies. In some ways it wrote off the season a bit although 2-3 light and especially lacking a viable Scott replacement perhaps the die was cast in August.
  9. I'll look forward to watching this later, sounds like the hierarchy have acted both terribly and with incompetence and a distincf lack of professionalism. NP and his team deserved much better, left a solid base.
  10. Our support Home.and Away this year, with the usual caveats of location at times applying, has been pretty good.
  11. Absolutely! Struggling to fathom how, in particular, they didn't get properly clobbered for 2022. They spent a load this season too albeit some major sales at last. (Verratri, Neymar among others). Messi ajd Ramos both left, again among a range of others. Highly likely they breached to last sesson too unless there was a major FFP fine in there as they are excluded from breakeven Tests.
  12. Is not even a gamechanging amount either... If it was say £10m more per Championship club I would say well there is a difference albeit one that lifts all boats. £2m-2.5m, £3m at a push..in a League where clubs lose £15-20m in a Year, underlying losses and actual with some ease. Is it worth it?
  13. I see Palmer free kick goal for Coventry and DaSilva assist too. Sounds an entertaining game. Quick check says he won the free kick too. Scott starts, perhaps fully fit he will kick on for Bournemouth!
  14. https://archive.ph/2024.04.24-170630/https://theathletic.com/5441916/2024/04/24/premier-league-salary-spending-cap/ What do we think?
  15. The PSG accounts are in, or at least limited numbers..Some headlines from P&L and Balance Sheet. As I predicted, a loss in excess of €100m pre tax last year. 3 Year after Allowables rolling limit is €90m pre tax post Allowables and this drops to €60m if prior losses. Break even pre tax. To 2022 2018-19..€32m Profit 2019-20..-€125m Loss 2020-21...-€225m Loss (Covid average...-€175m Loss) 2021-22..-€375m Loss -€518m the Starting point, possibly yo get down to -€30m in adjusted losses or at best-€90m or -€60m. Missed by just a bit?? Settlement. To 2023, remember fine and Breakeven requirement surely in play. 2019-20..-€125m Loss 2020-21...-€225m Loss (Covid average...-€175m Loss) 2021-22..-€375m Loss 2022-23..-€107.392m Loss -€657.392m Loss?? Even if you refer the prior 2 to the cap which I believe UEFA do after a fail, a €100m+ Pre Tax Loss is just unacceptable. IMO. I know UEFA have had some transitional arrangements post Covid and between systems but this is flagrant, appallingly bad.
  16. I think although I'm prepared to revise my view, that the chances of promotion will be via the playoffs. Parachute clubs are the predominant clubs who will be playing for top 2. There are caveats, e.g. Luton, Sheffield United and Burnley may not be so dominant, in some ways finances could hinder the last 2. Otoh if any of Leeds, Leicester, Southampton stay down, they may well have to retrench as FFP Upper Loss limit drops to £61m next year and Parachute Payments by £10m in Year 2. If Ipswich stay down I don't see them replicating th is year, on the flipside the relegated club a shouldn't (for this level) be such powers as Leeds, Leicester and Southampton at once. The chances as a non Parachute club are diminishingly low however.
  17. That game, plus the Millwall and Norwich games at home were the 3 most sopororific at Home for me. There were other negative gsmes sure but those 3, not even a technical thing at times they were just.. IMO we win the QPR game if we score first. We didn't and the last half hour or perhaps 15-20 mins well we just collapsed didn't we, got shredded on the break so very often due to the triple or quadruple change and the subsequent change of shape around the hour mark. That latter 20, 30 mins really compounded it.
  18. Credit where it is due. I'll be honest I was a bit sceptical given the sketchy structure at the top of the club, some of the results and performances and social media mood music but 12k at this stage that is good stuff. You had a good source!
  19. That's what I mean, he is Group CEO- thinly spread. Seems a bit of a choppy structure overall.
  20. Not just results but improved, intent and performances in 3 if not 4.. I don't think the Swansea result e.g. would've had people rushing back, this six game run has had 3 if not 4 positive performances too and that can inspire hope.
  21. 12k at this stage, that is an improvement? @Topper 123 may have had better info than assumed. A late rush between last week and now? GM mentioned 8,000.
  22. One thing I noticed, listened to bits of it. Will listen in full another time. Am quite sure tbat Gavin Marshall said the football capacity of the Atyeo was around 3.7k. This is a sudden increase given that a few weeks ago Jerry SLO on the ask SLO said it was 3.4k or thereabouts.
  23. Thought Gould was an excellent CEO. Marshall hard to say, spread thinly though he is.
  24. Will try and extrapolate from last year. Hopefully we are at least in par and a string summer window you never know but..It'll mainly be posted in Tweets. Spring 2023 Next section should contain the relevant 2024 landmarks... Spring 2024
  25. Good thread/analysis. Worth noting that the sale and leaseback of Stamford Bridge itself may not be possible owing to the Chelsea pitch owners...unsure what cost and value that constitutes.
