Here's some of the results. As usual a mixed bag for our most local teams.

Bitton 7 - Tavistock 0   Bodmin 4 - Keynsham 4   Bradford Town 5 - Roman Glass 2   Brislington 1 - Cadbury Heath 2   Cheddar 3 - Bridgewater 2

Cleveland 1 - Portland 2   Hallen 0 - Longwell Green 0   Hengrove 1 - Plymouth Parkway 5   Saltash 1 - Odd Down 0   Shepton Mallet 1 - Willand 1

Wells 2 - Shaftsbury 5   Westbury 3 - Cribbs 0

One other result, not a local team, but some fans across the country look out for their results when the FA Cup comes round.

Wembley are out; they lost 2-1 to London Lions.

Paulton Rovers have Bradford Town in the next round then.

Thanks for posting, @22A - however everyone seems to have neglected the outstanding result for Westcountry teams - Melksham Town 4 Badshot Lea 0. Surely being a football team called "Badshot" is negative for one's se;f esteem from the get go - akin to going up against Michael Phelps and being called "Mr. Schyte-Schwimmer"?

Also a notable win for Wantage Town - yes, not a local team but nicknamed "The Freds" after Alfred the Great, the father of our English Nation who was born in the town. Loves it, I does!

I'm passionate about the FA Cup; it's still a very special competition and definitely the most prestigious domestic trophy, irrespective of what those marketing tossers of the EPL hellbent on increasing revenue streams in the Far East might say. Much maligned with even second and third tier teams now fielding reserves in the third round - shame, shame and thrice shame. Wigan beating moneybags Man City a la last season should not be possible these days, yet it still happens - what a beautiful thing!!

Yes, I know, the Cup has been cheapened by the pursuit of Champions League places but I still maintain it will survive the obscene wealth boom and bust that will prove inevitable.

Every tournament needs to stay relevant, so the FAC shouldn't be above modernization, but I propose this - how about all the teams, from Squires Gate FC to Man City enter at the same time? The top nobbers give summit back to the grassroots - Liverpool v Daventry; Arsenal at Newport Pagnell Town? Aye, they'd field their reserves no doubt but it'd still be an attraction for the little guys AND that's what they're doing now when faced with teams like Exeter, Southend. Put an end to the actual U21 teams in the Checkatrade which is an utter disgrace and maybe scrap the League Cup altogether (even despite our success in that tournament last term - do we REALLY need two domestic knockout competitions in the modern era? I think not)

Lastly, moving the semi-finals away from neutral club grounds is a betrayal of the FA Cup's traditions (I don't care if it means more fans can see the game). Some of the best Cup memories are the semis between Lancashire and London clubs at Villa Park, United vs Liverpoool at Maine Road/Goodison, etc etc. The wide open space of Wembley always used to suit the final, but the bearpit intensity of the club grounds was perfect for the semi-final. What if Newcastle end up playing Sunderland in a semi one year? It'd be absolute lunacy to drag their fans all the way down to Wembley for it.

Oi, what you got against Melksham? ;) If Westbury are a local side so are they.
