Mo Eisa

Thankfully Famara is back, but we’ve certainly pissed off the football Gods to find ourselves with the injuries we have.

Abelakun, Smith, Wright, and now Eisa (may have missed some others if Watkins and Hunt are out for a while) - I’m not sure what the answer is, but hopefully some youngsters will be ready to step up, or we go back to the loan market.

What the **** are we doing in training, this is getting silly now

Practice matches as competitive as can be. No holds barred, as close to Championship match as possible. Most clubs get training injuries, DeBruyne got whacked in training as is out for weeks.

And fair play to the bloke for traveling with the team today.  Good character.

LJ wouldn’t have wanted to leave him back in Bristol, particularly as he’s a relatively new signing. It’s important he feels a part of the squad and gets to know the other lads.

Watkins injury look bad? Still don’t need a striker? I’d still try for one but admit I have no suggestions

Watkins received dead leg and had to come off. It won’t be serious

Hunt off injured as well? Thought he might just have been dizzy from Montreal running at him though.

Weimann also limping on and off for the last half hour or so.

Got to be honest, although I knew he wasn't in the matchday squad, I thought I saw him out on the pitch kicking a ball about with the subs before the game.

Think that may have been someone else.  Was he wearing shorts with no26 on?  There’s another thread with a mystery player on.

Done his ankle ligaments in training and is likely to be out 4 - 6 weeks.

That explains why he wasn’t in the squad........

That means we're down to just 3 fit specialist strikers, Weimann, Taylor and the returning Diedhiou and definitely need a loan before next Friday's deadline.

And considering that Eisa needs nurturing at this level then a season-long recruit is a must.

I totally agree CA. There is talk about a Priemership midfielder joining on loan, perhaps that’s just a smoke-screen, while we set about quietly securing a season-long loan of a Premiership striker......a repeat of the quiet recruitment of Kalas would be superb.

Excuse my ignorance but I`ve only really heard this lad mentioned over the last couple of weeks. How close is he to the first team? Is he from the academy or somewhere else?

I have only seen him the once in preseason and he was very bright. Energetic and skillful forward. Looked pacy and worked hard just had the look of a raw talent.

I am not 100% sure how he has ended up at city. Think he had some time with the u18s last season but whether he was in the academy for years or we signed him in I am not sure.

I doubt he is close to the first team. LJ does little things like bringing a young lad to a matchday to train and take it in. Usually as a reward for training hard and making progress. Seems like one that will get his first chance down at Bath or Weston later this season. This is not certain though I am just sharing my opinion. Would like to catch more u23 matches this season but always tough even when at AG
