The older you get, the more likely you will join the grammar police! I have often thought that if you were in court as a judge or even jury member, and the accused said, "It wasn't me, didn't do nothing" means you're guilty and sentenced to ten years watching the Gas. Conversely, if I was accused of something which was true and I uttered that phrase, "It wasn't me, I didn't do nothing" I was actually telling the truth but would be let off!
