Glad to see us winning again: do the same against Stoke and the table could look much better... I'm not surprised. Even back in pre season in Florida, it was clear that Deano is a big fan of Andi. Taylor10
We were good today. Solid win. Little early to be talking up Holden though I feel. We looked good today but both Boro & Hull are abysmal.

Bazooka Joe
Great assists by Weimann and excellent finishing by Wells and Paterson. Could have (should have) won by more. Clean sheet would have been a bonus.

Weimann had an average to good match today. I would not say that any City player was "great" today. Efficient, organised, solid, hard working come to mind. I am pleased for the win. It wasn't easy against the long ball, long throw in Warnock methods but we stood up to it and took a good proportion of our chances. Did anyone else think that Boro' looked a far better side after he made changes like taking off Shotton, the long throw specialist, and replacing him with smaller more creative players. So perhaps old age is affecting Warnock's match planning. Hee hee!
dunsteral
All the players played well, Baker and Kalas were immense facing up to boro's only tactic - bombard us with long throws from Shotton who for some reason COLIN took off. Assombalanga had one kick all match but he scored. On to the next one, who knows?
deadredfred
Please, anyone suggesting Holden permanently take a moment to realise that the performance and W is down to backing the quality players we have to play their game alongside a basic level of tactical plan and discipline. Scientific shackles off - play football. Yes, he’s done a good job, but Guardiola he is not. If you’re excited by what Holden can do, imagine what Hughton can do. I was just trying to point out how effective man management can be. When a player has the trust of his manager it usually gets a response.
RoystonFoote'snephew
That's as good a 90 minute performance as we've put in all season. I know it was against a Boro side not at their best, but it was a Warnock led Boro. Won't make play offs but frighteningly we could make 7th. Another season of progression league position wise? wendyredredrobin
Excellent performance. We totally dominated and the one touch football was sublime. For the first time in ages, we looked like a team that knew each other. A couple more performances like that might earn Dean Holden the top job. No coincidence that we put out a fairly settled unchanged team. Our run in is good compared to the team's above us, so a win on Wednesday may have me thinking the unthinkable. At the end of the day what manager since Alan Dicks have we had that comes anywhere near Warnock. Answers on the back of a postage stamp please. A fair point but it took 9 seasons for Alan Dicks to gain promotion to the 1st Division. Name me a championship owner prepared to give a manager that amount of time these days. Certainly, no City manager since Dicks has been given that amount of time.
