If you look in more detail you can see the effortless glide past an opponent or the precise pass, the unstoppable shot and, of course, that penalty technique. He got a lovely ovation from the City fans when he returned with QPR and rightly so. Anyone describing him as lazy is beyond me. He had so much technical ability. If he’s that good why has he had the career he’s had then ?
Oh Louie louie
I enjoyed watching him play. That last game of the season, against walsall, they couldnt get near him. He scored a cracker that day, smashed it in the roof of the net.

He had some great periods with City but there were other periods when he was awful. As with a lot of things it’s easier to remember the good times than the bad times. Having technical ability counts for nothing if a player isn’t prepared to apply it on a regular basis. He had the technical ability to be a regular Premier League player but he’s ended up at Livingston which says it all. SPL = Scottish Pub League But even when he was "lazy" he was still scoring and creating more than any other player in the team, which after all was his main job. 1 hour ago, And Its Smith said: If he’s that good why has he had the career he’s had then ? As has been noted many times, he apparently doesn't have the natural fitness to be able get away with minimum effort. He may also be one of those who fell out of love with them game, having played from a very young age. That would make it even harder to put the effort into staying fit. Hopefully this is a sign that he has found that he missed the game after a period away. I don't think anyone who saw him play could wish him anything other than a successful final period playing anywhere.

Unfortunately to be a top footballer you need more than just talent.

If he commits this could be a great move for him to get back in the shop window. The only problem the lad has is focusing on his football and giving to it. If he does he will not be in the SPL too long. Loved him at AG but he needs to focus, he has more than enough talent to make an impact. One good season and he will probably end up at Rangers. Bristol Rob
Entirely up to him if he can carve out a second career. One of the few players who has probably taken a pay-cut with every new contract.

Why he doesn’t apply himself is only known to JET. He never applied himself, because his mind was elsewhere!
Lanterne Rouge
Football enabled him to have the time and the money do do the things that were really important to him. Who among us could honestly say we wouldn`t do the same if we could?

Eastside Moonwalker
Makes you think the quality of Livingston's squad if a player who last played in Thailand 2 years ago who then had a year off and got declined after a trial at league two Cheltenham has signed. Wish him the best of luck though, a proper cult hero

Enjoyed the lifestyle of being a footballer too much and hard to fit into a team. I think most people are talking about him on pure talent (which he has plenty of) - but as you've said, it takes the full package to succeed. RedM
He didn’t often look like he enjoyed playing on a cold, wet February night so I wish him well at Livingstone! Some great memories for us though, but I often think we built him up to be more thanhe produced overall.
