  1. I thought Scott's miss against Forest was bad but Barnsleys in injury time was the worst I think I have ever seen. The ball must have been on the line and their player managed to head it over.

    About time luck went our way.

    Yep, on this…

    It does frustrates me that we keep pushing our HPC as some out-of-this-world training complex that premier league clubs would envy.

    Yes, it is bloody brilliant and a massive step forward for us as a club and I expect there are some premier league training grounds that might be a bit dated now.

    But you only have to look at this video and Brighton’s new training ground etc to realise that there are much bigger and much better training grounds at most clubs bigger than us.

    When the media team ask new players or staff what they think of the the HPC and how it compares with other training complexes, it does make me laugh.

    Yep, I feel the same. HPC is a huge step up for us but compared to what some other clubs have its basic.

    I live in cardiff. Not got planning permission yet, nor even Business case agreements. This has also been in the works since ~2007. Even if everything goes swimmingly from now it’s been accepted it won’t be open till at least 2025.

    Plus, the Motorpoint is almost certainly being knocked down rather soon.

    Who's clueless now?

    Directly from the council,

    These are the dates set out by Cardiff Council:

    • September 2021: Cabinet decision on the Full Business Case and Delivery Agreement;

    • October 2021: Contract award notice issued and developer to submit planning application;

    • February 2022: Planning decision and initial site works to begin;

    • March 2022: Contract signed;

    • April 2022: Construction begins;

    • Arena opens end of 2024.

    So to say its nowhere near is clueless. Like I said they plan to start building early next year. Two to three years would be around the correct construction time for an arena allowing for the inevitable problems etc.

    Ahhh… so what you mean is the following:

    If we maintain current home form and suddenly away form is turned on it’s head, then we will go down.

    Seems fair.

    I suspect that Man City will be relegated with the caveat that they don’t win a further game this season…

    Quite a good game this.

    :laugh:, no.

    It wont need to be turned on its head though, thats the thing. Plus the fact that we were a little lucky in a couple of those away games ( not that I am complaining about that as I was there, :laugh:). Being realistic, we wont maintain top 2 away form all season, it just wont happen (IMO)

    Our current trend of 1.23 points per game? That’d give us 56 points. Not sure a team has ever been relegated with 56 points…. So NO WE WON’T.

    I'm referring to the home form. You can not lose / draw your home games and stay up. It just won't happen. We would have to have a top 2 away form and that just won't happen.

  6. While I agree with the sentiment, There was no need to make the changes he did last night. Swansea were absolute dog sh!!e against us but managed to see the game out by keeping the ball for long periods of time in the last few minutes. We can not do that cos we panic and thats on the manager.

    You don’t think we’re in a relegation scrap?  I’m sorry, but I think we are.  Unless we start winning at home, we will be relegated.  You cannot stay up if you cannot win home games.  No way will we be able to accumulate enough away points to compensate.  If Pearson can’t get us winning at home then we will go down, end of story, and at present we are just stumbling from one disaster to another.  Talk of three-year plans is all very well, but does that include going down to League One?

    Ultimately Pearson is the man in charge and has to carry the can.  All managers lose their mojo eventually, and perhaps Pearson has lost his already.  I would love to see him turn it around but we simply cannot afford to end up in League One.  It’s unthinkable.

    It goes without saying that if our current trends continues  WE WIL GO DOWN.

    Yeah but the disappointment  or relagation  is soon forgot when the promotion drive is on  the next season.

    And that goes for most clubs.

    I will have some of what you have been drinking if you you think SL would get us a manager to bring us straight back up.
