  1. Think my first game (aged 7), was 61/62. Not a clue who we played, I just enjoyed sat stamping my feet making a noise in the old timber stand where the Dolman is now. Gibson Ford Briggs Parr Connor Low I remember so the first player to make his debut could have been Trevor Jacobs or Danny Bartley??? That old stand was terrible but the tannoy system was brilliant ?
  2. Don't worry, it's like the bus, there will be another one along soon ?
  3. Mods - can you please merge this with the other 31 win or out threads please?
  4. Consider yourself well and truly slagged off....
  5. Don't know for sure but that's probably against employment law. If it was allowed then complete carnage for anyone with a disability.
  6. Get well soon Nige, make sure you rest up for a while and come back fighting fit! You will be welcomed back. Take care, John.
  7. I respect other posters opinions but I absolutely hate Colin with a passion! Have said before, the day that horrible git walks through the door at Ashton Gate, my season ticket is returned. Nothing else would make me do that. So 60 years, man and boy, supporting City......gone.
  8. Thanks Tom, I think everyone on here should read this before posting anymore crap, conspiracy theories, or personal agendas. Thoughtful and well written piece.
  9. New sound system in the Dolman?
  10. Yea, via the bloody suspension bridge!
  11. I think he will come across very differently to Ashton. Came to Senior reds a few weeks ago. Seemed assured, knows his stuff. Happy to take questions on anything. Nothing phased him. Also seemed like a nice guy (don't think I would want to get on the wrong side of him though).
  12. Don't Want this to become too political but we should probably stop doing lots of things but what is the point of us doing anything when China, Russia and India just carry on regardless? Perhaps Greta should demonstrate in Beijing or Moscow, see how that goes.....
  13. Never understood or have been happy having a keeper as captain. Needs a defender or, in my opinion, preferably a midfield player. Make James the skipper.
  14. Just came to me, John Laycock I believe. Happy to be corrected
  15. No mate, I think the one before him. Brandon tool hire?? Sorry, can't be assed to look it up...
  16. Yes, some time ago, could have also had Peter Taylor at the time. Can't remember the Chairman's name at the time but he didn't go for either of these...... But went for bloody Pulis!!! ???
  17. Tut Tut, dear dear, someone has a different opinion to you I do sincerely apologise ?
  18. I know exactly how you feel. I would do the same and I have been supporting the club for neigh on 60 years. Never done anything to me personally but for some reason I hate the bloke with a passion.
  19. And did we get relegated last season? Most sensible supporters I speak with expected this to be a difficult season. Our squad is thread bear on numbers which leaves us relying on the U23 squad to fill the bench when we have injuries, like yesterday plus some were also in the team. Do you seriously believe that the team put out yesterday would not be improved by the addition of Williams, Atkinson, James, Baker, Semenenyo and King? When I saw the team for yesterday playing the team currently in forth place I thought we would be hammered out of sight. What did you think when you saw the team selection?
  20. Agree with this and the posts about injuries. Much better side once they come back.
  21. So that is a direct quote? Should be easy for you to find and add to your post. If you can't it's just bull sh*t
