Guess what? we've conceded a goal and conceded the midfield, there's a surprise?

Backing off backing off and backing some more and then the inevitable happens, the midfield was nowhere.

Well so far so good, the midfield has looked compact and Brownhill probably the best player on the field.
Most of our problems have come from Paterson giving the ball away unnecessarily or trying to be too clever clearing a ball, he is the weak link.
It's a a cagey game but we seem to be proving ourselves as more of a 'team' Forest look like 11 individuals, I think also the first half showed how much better we are when we get that early goal, the trick now is getting the second.
The defence has looked strong so far, concentration is now key all over the pitch.

Shite play from Pato, losing the ball in midfield, Forest break and hit the post...
And 2 minutes later another poor pass, so far a good team performance but Paterson not really got in the game.

Very attacking with the two wingers, we've always struggled at this level playing like this.
Couldn’t agree more, this midfield will have to be fully organised or today will be a struggle.

They are being linked with a Cardiff reserve player who finished last season playing for Torquay United on loan.
Don’t think this is exactly a “rumour”.

That would be a bloody terrible move for Golbourne.
If he gets any other offer to continue his league career he should take that instead.
There's aways Billericay of course.

According to the Sags the dog botherer has just said at their open day that Harrison is off, announced tomorrow.
I don't see the problem the prolific Tom Nicholls will be a more than adequate replacement, what's not to admire about a 1 goal in 39 game return at 3rd division level.

1.5 Tilson's?

Yes your eyes do decieve you, you fool.
We have to pay Scunthorpe compensation because he is under 24 and they offered him a new deal, but as he was out of contract he was a "free agent".
Plus the reason we take the piss is the fact that almost every transfer you make is a free, because you haven't a pot to piss in, and your record transfer was someone you signed last millennium.
Plus I am assuming that the other player this latest belter is on about must be Watkins, i'm sure we paid a fee for him, in fact somewhere in the area of 10 Tilson's to use the official exchange rate and of course not forgetting that we paid .75 of a Tilson to actually sign their 10mil (or 26.6666666666666 Tilson's) star player.
Got to love 'em.

Wow, aren't City big time going to Vegas. Maybe that's the problem
I'm glad you said that and not me, although I was thinking the same when I saw the twitter team photo in Vegas.
Still it is funny so called 'professional footballers' begging for drinks, methinks Sinclair has too much influence.

**** me it never ends does it, every single failed attempt to build a new stadium Mangotsfield, Severnside and UWE etc. have failed because they always want somebody else to pay for the ******* place and when the council say show us the money they can't because they ain't got none and nobody wants to invest and now this.

No mention of why he never signed any right back and then tried to wing it all season.
No mention of the unambitious January window.
He was correct in his overall assessment but it would have been nice to hear that the recruitment needed to improve, that playing players out of position because of an unbalanced squad needed to be addressed, that he admits that with his managerial record there is no consistency and that for the past 2 months the players look decidedly pissed off.
The good news is 2 years on he now realises that he has no leaders, I wonder when exactly that epiphany occurred?.

Great to have a win and grateful for the 3 points but don't lets kid ourselves that was 2 less than average teams out there tonight and we looked exactly what we have morphed into, a team that has totally run out of ideas and sadly lacking any midfield quality.
Kelly although naive at times looks like the senior player and Bryan looks like the novice (yes I know he is not a right back but he has looked like this for a while now), Baker looks as though he has already settled for an early holiday to me and has lost interest.
Midfield was weak and poor, you have to admire Brownhill's energy and endeavour but Smith is inexplicably out of form and Pack although he scored with a great free kick drifted out of the game during the 2nd half and Diedhiou and Djuric really lack quality for me.
Again can't fault Reid and Taylor proved what most people already knew put the ball in the right areas and he will score, pity it's taken over a year to work that out.
I will take the 3 points all day long but we desperately need some quality in the summer boy do we need it.

Two great goals including a FREE KICK FFS, but we look poor at the the back, could easily be 4-2 down, we look disorganised in midfield, the two goals are obviously an improvement but we are still poor, to me two bog standard bang average teams very little sustained quality but one took it's chances and the other did not, this game is not over.

We have improved in the last 5 minutes, actually trying to play through midfield rather than defenders hoofing it.
