Well that was a hard watch. It doesn't get any easier however many times we've come 2nd.....and it's a lot. Watching the legend leave the field for the final time didn't help, deffo something in my eye.

Why is it in these situations, which I often find myself in at football and cricket, the game is never a one sided affair with a certain result obvious well before the end, meaning you can sneak away quickly yo catch that early train? No, you can guarantee it'll go to the wire with the final over taking 15 minutes as the fielding captain makes 50 fielding changes per ball. With T20 it always feels a bit worse missing a bit as it's so short anyway but I can understand it if you have your lad with you

Oh dear! That was quite disastrous. Even in defeat you usually get a minimum of 3 points, 3 for bowling on a bowler friendly wicket and at least 2 batting points and a couple bowling on a batting wicket but how you just get one when you've put them in is disaster. Struggling to find a positive here, I suppose with a month gap now we've time to regroup and plan our last 4 games. And to be fair, in the seasons we've come tantilisingly close we've been more than 4 points behind the leaders at this stage.

When Essex beat us they closed the gap to 15 points, two games each later and it's still 15 points. We're in for a battle royale. Who, if anyone, will crumble before the final game showdown in September?

It certainly could gave been worse, COverton, JOverton, Bess could all have been picked. Just hope they send them back in one piece
