  1. No I think it was after Cardiff a month later.
  2. That’s close to what happened at Leicester earlier this season. A tremendous reception whilst stood out on the pitch with his crutches. In hindsight his demise was probably already decided by then and seeing that applause and singing for him must have sat very uncomfortably with Jon and Brian.
  3. Doing maths in my head I couldn’t work out if we’d done 40 or about to complete our 40th. I do know I’ve been there the whole way and it is some record. You can look at many other similar size clubs but just look at our neighbours over the bridge, both Cardiff and Swansea have had top flight football and Wembley cup finals and Swansea even Europe for winning their final. Why can’t we ever have nice things?
  4. Preston are pretty dull and like us have spent a long time in the same two divisions, not quite as long as us though. Approaching 40 years in those same two middle divisions must be close to a record
  5. Yeah, add on a couple more like that and you’ll be able to buy the club off Lansdown. IF they come in.
  6. Yes and games moved on police advice but we’ve had them for a while as we have Sky games, that’s why I suggested a limit. This is a load of extra games that the club are getting money for which could tip some of us past the point of a Season ticket being worthwhile
  7. Maybe the club could make a deal with those fans with concerns over the new scheduling. How about if a game is moved from Saturday 3 o’clock, you’ll be offered 4/5 times a season the chance to sell your ticket back to the club?
  8. Torquay deducted 10 points and now sit 3 points above the drop. Hopefully they survive the drop to the 7th tier, I think they will, then sort things out for next season
  9. You lot say want you want, I saved hard to get that bottle opener and bloody love it!
  10. Yeah I bank on doing around 17 a season, fell short last season but on course to do 18 this. If it falls to around 13 I’m paying a lot for each game. With this tv deal do we know if it’s just Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes that they’ll be changed to? For me that’s not ideal but not a disaster, however Friday and especially monday evenings wouldn’t be great at all. Of course we do have to factor in our guaranteed seat, I love where I’m sat, the people, the view, the ease of getting out after the game. Plus I think every away day I’ve done this season has been sold out, so getting them is a nice bonus.
  11. With the club shop down to its usual 2 rails of odd sized, difficult to sell merchandise
  12. I agree, even though I’m heading towards that stage of life at what seems a rapid rate. It would be important to look after those olduns that are struggling financially though, of which I’m sure there’s loads in south Bristol alone.
  13. I’ve only just seen the - Retail discount with details to be confirmed- part of the article. Anyone want to guess when this might be confirmed? I’ll guess the week after Christmas.
  14. If he scored in the FA cup against the Gas I’m sure social media would love him
  15. I’m pretty sure if we were playing attractive winning football it would have been “see you tea time mum” and They’d have been there cheering us on.
  16. The upper Lansdown family section looks good value now. At least there’s an alternative for those with young kids now being priced out of the SS.
  17. 5% increase for me in the lower Lansdown wings. About what I expected
  18. Well the time is nearly here, will this thread turn into a “fair play City” or “you’ve gotta be joking” thread? Probably something in between I’m guessing.
  19. Anyone know what we we are expecting cost wise? I’ve absolutely no idea but if I was guessing I’d say a small rise, maybe 3% but with an added gimmick, food voucher maybe. Maybe not.
  20. Yes I was thinking an announcement must be imminent. I wonder how many have already made their minds up, how many will almost immediately make their final decision once they see the numbers in black and white and how many will sit on it until the last possible day. This time last year I was very enthusiastic at renewing and so disappointed I’ve fallen back into that weird feeling of reluctantly shelling out £560 for something that’s supposed to be fun.
  21. Hope you weren’t so drunk you called him George when you kissed him?
  22. It’s out now, Tinnions goal etc…well it would be if they’d bothered to order any from the suppliers.
  23. I’m not listening but I’m guessing from responses it was not long?
