I'd still rather a manager with a personality. I was going to add in my earlier post, Nige wasn't always a bundle of laughs in his interviews, sometimes he was really prickly, but I always felt he was honest, or as honest as he could be.

I do too. Most people I've spoken to have a level of respect for him, a wariness possibly coloured by his media profile but most recognise what he did at Leicester. I don't know anyone who dislikes him or talks about him negatively.

Yes, in a philosophical sense but when a certain skill set is required to do your job you don't have time to learn those skills, especially if you are supposedly employed to hit the ground running. I don't expect BT meant what you describe.
