  1. I've named my car and my Oyster card after Marvin Elliott? I'm not sure I class him as a legend though?
  2. I suppose at least if you go to the games you don't have to listen to him. I hope the improved match day experience is 'improved'. How I don't know?
  3. I need to watch that, haven't seen it since I was 9
  4. it is a bit scary, reminds me of David McCallum in some war film
  5. I can't see people actively pursuing that model. I can see people investing for a lower cost, more sustainable kind of structure though.
  6. As long as those questions are being asked.
  7. perhaps there's a different way instead of TV rights? Smaller sums yes but maybe better in the long run
  8. I can imagine some people wanting to invest just in women's teams, not having enough to invest in the men's, or just want to support the women.
  9. Would be better to keep the football together but they could have separate investment streams, couldn't they?
  10. so if I did win big on the euro millions I'd still have enough to survive day to day?
  11. did he mean players or work ethic? I'd still rather a manager with a personality. I was going to add in my earlier post, Nige wasn't always a bundle of laughs in his interviews, sometimes he was really prickly, but I always felt he was honest, or as honest as he could be.
  12. It would depend which one they changed
  13. I still miss “we battered them, absolutely battered them” Cotts. just the kind of manager fans want. Honesty, straight talking, passion, fun, humour. it is making me more depressed by the day the situation at BCFC
  14. I know! I noticed that. wtf are BCFC playing at
  15. Possibly, it was a couple of weeks ago. I’d forgotten about him completely and they were mentioning injuries and treatment generally. The interview was around 1st March
  16. I thought he was injured? I heard a snippet of an interview with LM I think, saying something like that.
  17. I guess they are setting Tins up to fail or at least take the flack, and ultimately the boot if things don’t improve.
  18. I think there was more to it than that!
  19. He mentioned managing City in an interview on Five Live
  20. I do too. Most people I've spoken to have a level of respect for him, a wariness possibly coloured by his media profile but most recognise what he did at Leicester. I don't know anyone who dislikes him or talks about him negatively. He showed an interest in taking over after Cotts left.
  21. it's hardly positive though, a maybe. How would they know if it was good or bad? I only know QPR's new chap is doing well because my cousin told me.
  22. Yes, in a philosophical sense but when a certain skill set is required to do your job you don't have time to learn those skills, especially if you are supposedly employed to hit the ground running. I don't expect BT meant what you describe.
