If it means Fontaine slips down the pecking order then yes, great. Merely an observation that Cotterill's two signings in this window are 28 & 29 years old, and both have slightly dubious reputations in terms of their mentality. The other (Osborne) is also over 25 though to be fair a Burt signing.

We're still conceding too many goals under SC, only 1 clean sheet in 8?? We'll continue to struggle in the league too as long as we keep leeking goals unfortunately.

Absolutely and I'm not sure who was predicting he'd fail straight away. Most acknowledged he'll have a good start as most managers at a new club tend to. It's what he does 3 months into the job, 6 months into the job, a year into the job etc that will define whether he's a successful manager here.

There's a big difference between thinking someone may fail vs wanting them to buddy. This is just exactly the type of signing i hoped we wouldn't be making. Hoping the comments I found from the Posh fans are accurate ones and he's a hit here. At 28 though I'd hope we think very carefully before offering him a long term deal even if he does do well.
