I'm not sure I get your drift....quit pretending what? I go and watch the team, and the Academy and watch other football around the country when I can....both league, non league and youth. I take an interest in coaching and scouting. I've done courses and badges in the game....I study the game. Played and coached...I've done it paid and unpaid. It's a passion. I follow City and love football....At no time have I ever not wanted the best for this Club. On match day I'll get behind the Club...in the meantime, like many blokes...we discuss football. So I really don't understand your reasoning as to why you think i'm not behind the Club? Yes...I've said I don't think SC is the right man to take us forward. But every time we play under him, I want us to win. Anybody who takes time to post on this forum does so because they support City and are passionate about football and the Club. All are supporters and are 'behind the club'. We just show our 'support' in different ways. Some enjoy discussing the pros and cons of football....some are just happy clappers....some just come on here to wind people up and moan at posters rather than discuss football. Not being funny....but I really don't know why you bother on this forum, because you seem more interested in nick picking at people ( excuse the pun ) and having a go at them than actually discussing football, which is what this forum is ultimately about. Perhaps you need to rethink as to why you are actually on here.

Perhaps it's the perfectionist in me. Like the majority of managers, footballers, coaches, tv pundits etc, etc, they constantly analyse themselves or the team and look at how to better ones self. Funnily, it's a part of football I enjoy...looking at tactics, formations, pros and cons of players and managers. You can either sit back and just go with your lot or always look to improve...I'm of the latter. Any 'Criticism' would be constructive...even if we were top of the league. I don't rest on my laurels.

Well i'm happy you think our recruitment this summer was so great....Kodijia withstanding, I would say you are probably the only that thinks that. I think what you perceive as 'veiled digs' is actually called constructive criticism...but I have come to realise you are Pedant, and also always on the look out to argue with fellow supporters, rather than discuss. If you find my posts so dull and boring, then why not just ignore? Others enjoy conversations...if you don't like it, may I suggest you just bugger orf and just ignore...Simples ;-)

The mind boggles as to the Clubs recruitment policy this season...Zamora and others like him were available. For whatever reasons, the Club haven't brought in that experience needed. We went for 8 million pound strikers, when a couple of older heads on short contracts in midfield and up front really could have helped our lads. Other teams have done it....so why not us? Some of our loans and our failure to recruit wisely this summer does make me question SC.

Being a team struggling near the bottom to a team more capable of getting results. Anyone can see we need more experience and quality in our team. Someone like Zamora to come on or compete with Wilbs, and likewise in midfield. Two older heads...in those positions would certainly enhance our young team and help them when the going gets tough.

This league is about small margins...taking your chances when you can....and making the right decisions at the right time. We are not being outplayed by anyone. But SC is going to have his work cut out keeping spirits high. He needs to make the right decisions...I firmly believe the players are doing their best....but not being helped by his indecision in certain circumstances. Worth noting how tight this league is and how small the margins are....Team in 10th place QPR have conceded the same amount of goals as us, but scored only 4 more.... Those 4 more have contributed to the 6 more points than us....like I said....small margins.

Well according to Freeman this week, the long trip to Ipswich will actually benefit us. Lets see whether SC comes out and says the lads were tired from the travelling this time...if we lose, i'm sure it will be a factor...if we win....then i'm sure it will be because we played on the counter attack and didn't have the pressure of the home crowd... Apparently the lads are confident and have total belief in themselves at this level...not sure why SC has felt the need to keep telling us that lately.... unless it's being questioned So after hearing all that from the camp...I'm going for a 3-1 win to Ipswich....although we will create chances, have good possession and give a good account of ourselves.... but silly errors will allow Ipswich to score All said with tongue firmly in cheek

The Official Champions V Burnley Match Day Thread
spudski replied to havanatopia's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Looking forward to this game...I like Burnley...a good honest football club. I have absolutely no idea how this will pan out....obviously hoping for a thumping City win....especially as a good friend is a Burnley fan and his son is one of the coaching staff....so plenty of banter to be had today :-)
