I totally agree re the former players. Brilliant to see them back . The shirt & wearing it is fine . Why not then say it’s to promote the heritage & archive initiative rather than 50 years since Leeds . I really don’t want to come across as being negative on any of it & I’m not in general . It’s just the cup game thing. I like many have had a pop at Jon Lansdown & rightly so. The heritage & archive idea with Scott Davison though is brilliant.

They’ll be completely different games. I should imagine we’ll have a lot more of the ball & try to do what’s been difficult for us to do in breaking teams down. You only have to go back to Watford away , who made it an open game , then Birmingham away & Millwall at home for the reverse. The pitches are made for professional sport. How can it be ill suited ? our injuries are no worse than any other club . they’ve been blown out of proportion since the really bad season we had under Holden. That was a mixture of poor preparation from him/physio team & covid when we couldn’t use the facilities properly due to the virus. Since then we’ve had the training ground in full use our muscle injuries have reduced. They will never be eradicated at any club .

It was completely renewed in the summer. I don’t think it’s desso anymore . It’s a different company I think. gutting for big rob & us obviously but it’s not unusual for players coming back from a ACL to have other injured.

I was always taught as a kid. If I was clean through , run towards the far post to drag the keeper out. That wasn’t possible for Sam yesterday but in general it works

I maybe miss quoting you but haven’t you said in the past about not getting hung up on shape , formation . For what it’s worth I thought they pushed us back but we were also happy to drop off & invite them on & showed little intention of taking the game to them . We held all the cards to some extent but to counter that a third goal kills the game completely . My main gripe for about ten minutes second half was how Azaz found space so easily between the midfield & centre backs . Not just centrally but on both corners of the box . We seemed to deal with that better after williams came on & blocked those passing lanes better . I don’t think we could have carried on for the whole 90 as we did first half & they were bound to come at us. For all their possession max made three/four routine saves , away from home .
