If he leaves when his contract expires, then he will be owed nothing (financially, anyway) by the club. And presumably (I stand to be corrected), Lansdown would be unable to hush him up with a non-disclosure agreement. NP could say what he liked. Unlikely, but if he is sacked, I would absolutely love it if he told Lansdown to stick the rest of his money and told the world what is really going on.
