  1. Because Lansdown likes Robins. So he will give him assurances that the wallet would be opened. And it would. Not for the bloke that has earned it though.
  2. Thank you. For showing me that it's not only our owner that doesn't have a clue
  3. I would have had him here years ago. But now we have someone better. Who is a better fit. Robins wouldn't have the first idea how to do the job that Pearson has done here. Unfortunately, he doesn't have to. And Lansdown has (allegedly) wanted him for years. It's scary
  4. Well,he didn't learn from Fawthrop, Tinnion or Millen. What exactly makes you think that he will earn from Holden?
  5. Hope not. Not with any justification really, I have nothing against King, but if we were to go along the internal appointment route (which we all know, bar Robins, Lansdown will), I just have a feeling (nothing more) that Euell would be the best option. What the **** am I talking about? The best option is to keep Nige. Obvs!
  6. Well, we don't differ on this. The reason that I am (slightly) worried is that I think we have the best manager we have had in a long time. Just for clarification. Yes. I think that you are correct. I don't like your first five words though.
  7. Damn right it's a 'C'. Because if we can't get one of the wide men away, we just pass it between the back four and the keeper. Rotherham prime example. I am possibly Nige's biggest fan, but he has to sort this.
  8. I wouldn't say 'no chance'. My bet is Lansdown would suddenly find a treasure chest.
  9. Home to Coventry next. Given that nobody knows who may be in charge next season, anyone worried that Lansdown might invite a certain opposition manager up for a chat? Disclaimer: Just mischief making really... though I wouldn't be ****ing surprised.
  10. We know that Lansdown likes a 'yes man' and that Pearson will never be that, but Nige has said himself that he has mellowed in recent years. So the hope that I am clinging to in that regard is that Lansdown either appointed him, or agreed to the appointment two and a half years ago when Pearson's prior reputation would have been far more troublesome to him than the reality that he has experienced since. ?
  11. Probably ridiculously reduced terms, so he can say that he offered him a contract. ?
  12. Floated across. Flotsam, I think they call it.
  13. Sadly, I have a feeling that you won't have the last laugh, unless he achieves it this season, which is unlikely. And in anticipation of your response, you are again welcome.
  14. Oh great. More of the two tweedles from the Football League cluster***k. ?
  15. Yeah I was talking about JL, but I don't remember him either. Presumably not in my era.
  16. Nah... Lansdown would probably have promoted him.
  17. Yes, I agree in this case. I was more alluding to behavioural encouragement due to 'Ivory Tower' syndrome over a course of time. A long course of time.
  18. That's the sort of thing that constant lack of communication and disconnect with the fanbase from a football club will breed over time.
  19. To be fair, if it transpired that it's because he was forced to do that whitewash of an interview, I would actually have a lot of respect for him.
  20. Don't worry. They will pick up a few points in ten games time. ?
  21. My suspicion is that it just less hassle not to. But I don't have the answer.
