I’m pretty open-minded on this.  I thought he did a decent job at Derby in dire circumstances.  Brum was on a hiding to nothing in terms of how and when it happened, but he did very badly.

Plymouth is a good structured club, Dewsnip knows him from Everton.

The only real problem for Rooney is are there enough Grannies around?

Bournemouth he would do ok , deffo Eastbourne if they had a side

    Good

Not sure who is going to be our third CM though, we have so many good attacking players but massive gaps in CB, CM and LB

IMO biggest loss is Luke shaw , no surprise rashford has been poor this season they seem to compliment each other rather like Neville & Beckham did , Luke shaw adds not just attacking flair or defensive capabilities he just adds balance to the side whether it be England or yaaaanited

I ran the half, weather was brutal and saw a few lads in the black away shirt, not exactly ideal for running in the sun (also saw one poorly fitting rovers shirt)

Lucky they were wearing the Black shirt & not the yellow ones everyone dislikes there would have been a melt down on here if they had 🙈

I did the Bristol half marathon, my one and only, way back.

Ended in Blaise. My goal was to run the entire course. Remember being gutted that they put a friggin gurt big hill out of Lawrence Weston right at the end of the course. Got three quarters the way up and dropped down a step kerb to cross a road and juddered to a halt. Walked the rest of the hill before the inevitable sprint finish.

    Baking hot that day too.

Sure my dodgy knees have their origins from that day. Don’t think cushioned running shoes had been invented. We were just one evolutionary step up from plimsoles back then!

Did you have armed guards going through Lawrence Weston 👀

Surprised nobody has mentioned the really tragic news of the 26 year old man who died

    May he rest in peace

The Great Run Company said in a statement that the man was treated by medics and later died in hospital.

The statement read: "Everyone involved in the organisation of the Great Bristol Run would like to express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of the participant.

"We take the health and safety of all participants very seriously and we work hard to ensure our events are delivered safely," the Great Run Company statement continued.

"All event plans are rigorously assessed and signed off by the Bristol Safety Advisory Group for Events."

No one can legislate for something like this happening , he could have been home cutting the grass and the same could have happened , still very sad though obviously .

Great Run taking over has been terrible. The covid fees was out of line but even other things, the prices going up, the finisher t-shirts going from actual decent tops to something with a terrible fit that I just threw away, the route for the 10k now going up past the galleries car park hill at 9k (horrible for experienced and novice runners alike), it's just a bad experience now.
I'm surprised they continue to merge the events, a lot of 10k runners in May used to subsequently train for the Half in October but that's not an option now which is a shame

That hill by the galleries car park was part of the HM route when I done it and that was 10-15 years ago , like you say not nice

  7. I done it about 10-15 years ago ,

done the half marathon ( that was tough ) and the 10k ( 43 mins ) , don’t enjoy running now I’m 60 so doing a 53k walk across the Cotswolds in a few weeks ( done it before on the south downs fair years back ) much tougher than you think people think oh I nice walk in the countryside WRONG , 🎒🚶🚑

That's great news, he was one of the better performers against Brum on Saturday playing a wing back(ish) role, but I have seen him play centrally and look equally as effective.

It will be interesting to see where he settles down in that respect.

Let’s hope he kicks on , we have had a couple over the last 18 months who seem to show promise but haven’t kicked on OTC & Dylan Kadji spring to mind

  9. Just noticed the size of the gap at the bottom of the premier league , if Forest weren’t docked those 4 points the bottom 3 who all came up last year and have now gone back down , the closest Luton were 10 points adrift just shows the gulf in class

  10. One joker in there one boxer ,

usyk deservedly won for Tyson to come out with that rubbish at the end about people voting for him because their country is at war is embarrassing & shameful , Frank Warren thinks fury won by 2 clear rounds ffs , just own it and admit Tyson came off 2nd best

  11. Looking forward to the fight

but god these build ups to the fight are totally embarrassing, all this macho huffing and puffing between the the 2 camps , and oh what a surprise a little scuffle at the weigh in,ffs how obvious that was going to happen , all being watched by Frank Warren and other promoters sat clapping & smiling like trained seals in the back ground .
detest Frank Warren met him in a night club about 20 years ago in London surrounded by his oafs ( minders ) straight to the vip area largeing it around all the needy blond wags .

I was referring to Keep Right On. On a good day they can perform this very vociferously

As you go through life, It’s a long long road,

There’ll be joys and sorrows too.

As we journey on, We will sing this song, For the boys in royal blue,

    We’re often partizan, clap x3

We will journey on, clap x3

Keep right on to the end of the road, Keep right on to the end.

Though the way be long, Let your heart beat strong,

Keep right on to the end, Though you’re tired and weary,

Still journey on, ’til you come to your happy abode,

Where all the love, you’ve been dreaming of will be there, Where?

At the end of the road,

    Birmingham! Birmingham!

Not one of my favs I must admit

I honestly think Norwich are one of the poorer teams to reach the play offs in recent times.

A real bang average team which should give teams like us hope going into next season.

Sheffield Utd the worst I have seen and I think there performances in the prem this year proved that

Unless we sign someone who cannot be denied it (unlikely) then Knight will almost certainly be the default on-the-pitch captain.

Wells probably has a shout as grandfather of the house, Naismith as well if he's ever fit. Vyner and Dickie also. I guess there's my picks for vice.

Who’s the player called Naismith 🤷

  16. Who said you can’t get a good atmosphere at Ashton gate , the place was fxxking bouncing and very intimidating ( not in an aggressive way ) just so passionate,

nothing to do with the ground just the football that’s being played and the people in the ground , fans & football makes atmospheres not stadiums .
