  1. Utd are a poor poor side , some terrible signings
  2. Some Utd players hiding , Rashford absolutely rubbish and bailed out when going got tough , no way he should be going to Germany with England . Also Ten Hagg taking Garnacho off poor decision , he has to go

    VAR

The statement is nearly as shocking as the decisions

Please some one tell me the difference between Aaron wan bissaka hand ball and Ashley youngs either both pens or no pens , one given one not , it’s an absolute shambles var
  5. Why is it some posters continue to say the other side weren’t on their game when we get a decent result against them perhaps just maybe that’s something to do with how we played , Norwich on a really decent run and little old Bristol city turn up and tbh should have taken the 3 points , well played chaps , transfer market = a couple of finishers cough up Steve
  6. Me too , thought Orr scored aswell , but perhaps it was trundle that got 2 3-1 wasn’t it Who’s injured this week , out with a knock = 8 months

Whizzbangs & fireworks think the wife has said that about me a few times
  8. A good old pukka pie makes a ground for me , I use to love going to Boundry park ( Oldham for you youngs uns ) pub at top of the road then walk down to the ground and get my pie , always freezing ( only Stoke beats it full coldness )remember going there on a freezing cold night game with my young un pint pie & 3 points decent view and a decent allocation my young un loved it , Chesterfield away ( saltergate another dump but loved going there , 2-2 draw absolute freezing testimintanu scored a cracker nights like that got my young un hooked, he 34 now with a family and takes his kids all from them cold nights up north
  9. Good post , it’s not just getting back to fitness physically, firstly his mentality must be shot to bits all his life be has been striving to be a football player then all of a sudden just after his dream had come true by getting in the first team this has happened , he might possibly have to change his whole life and look for another future ( I sincerely hope not just hope a full pre season carefully nurtured will see him on the right path again ) if he does get back to the standard he was at how hard will it be for him to go full throttle during a game he will naturally be holding back which then could easily lead to another injury or affect his performance, nightmare for the lad all the best would love to see him come through this great talent , city fan from Bristol what more could you ask for
  10. Would go though Dickie couldn’t of been to far way
  11. Arnt you mistaking that drone footage to when the gas ran on the pitch at Wycombe the season they stayed up O Hang on
  12. Pete Mayes name rings a bell , think he was at Cuba ice ( jaspers bar ) with a few others , but I mainly met them from a few other city lads that got to know them , were really good lads no edge on them at all ,
  13. No pavement dancing that day
  14. Was friendly with a few Pompey lads years ago ( lost touch now ) a few of them use to come up to Bristol and have a few beers with other city lads , proper down to earth blokes , proper old school tough city with the added bonus of a nice front in southsea , if I’m correct they got no real town centre bit like Stoke ( mind you Stoke got xxxx xxx)
  15. We have centre halves Sounds like Bristol city council
  16. If I do half the pubs that have been mentioned in this post there would be no way I would make the game ( lately perhaps that’s a good thing )

Done Norwich a few times , like people say fair old trek by car but a decent away day I’ve always gone by train , also stayed in Lowestoft for the weekend with the mrs once , train station right by the ground , some decent pubs , Norwich fans pretty decent , stop off in London for a drink or 2 on the way home if you wish , I would say one of the better away trips but we do generally lose , can remember winning there one year 3-1 I think Trundle 2 & Bradley Orr , might be wrong but that’s how I remember it

Tony Powell , Bristol lad from Lawrence Weston if I remember correctly , lived couple of doors away from my Nan
  19. Ahh great memories , no not the game , the sun beating down could do with some of that on my back
  20. Every time I flick over there another goal down , it must be soul destroying playing for city ladies , they seem to get battered every week , even when the scores are only 2 or 3 they seem to spend nearly all game defending , it’s as if anything below 3 is a victory , if the funding isn’t there by city ( which it obviously isn’t ) no point in being in the prem league of ladies football far to big a gap for them , they really can’t enjoy it
  21. Yes I did see at a few of them award ceremonies ( nearly every week ) don’t think she helped herself with some of the things she wore ( looked more of a sex object than ladies football player ) yes I did notice the new keeper wasn’t it Republic of Ireland though not N Ireland , yes will be interesting to see how she reacts when the decline comes ( it happens to all ) as she seems to revel in the high society life
  22. Let’s be fair no one has a clue about what is and what isn’t hand ball any more different refs have different opinions we have had so many not given it’s about time we had a few go our way
  23. Drove up on my own , had some tea in a pub (no beer cup of tea ) in the city centre sat on my own , got to ground at about 7 watched us warm up , watched 90 mins of quality football had to pinch myself this was Bristol city , celebrated for about 1/2 hour in the ground with fans and players , walked back to city centre where car was parked went past a pub and thought fxxk it I’m gonna have a celebratory drink so had 1 pint sat at the bar again on my own with a big grin on my face , drove straight back to work in Avonmouth for a 4am start , funnily for one of the best nights watching city it’s was probably the least I’ve ever had to drink , but what a night and what a great team and as another poster mention wilbraham an absolute legend ,
