Not a massive follower of ladies football but I do watch it frequent enough and realise it has come a long way in a very short time and no doubt will keep growing with the right funding , have seen Mary earps a bit more than most and looked out for her due to her city connections , could your answer me this phants is she really that good and also as she is some type of pin up girl for the ladies game as she got a bit above her station ( billy big bxxxxxxs ) if you excuse the pun

I agree , also think pring ( apart from a few games ) has been a bit of a dissapointment this season compared with last season where admittedly he was excellent

Whilst on the subject of academy players coming through has anyone watched enough of palmer Holden to think he would be for a first team squad place next season

I understand him not being played yesterday with no Vyner or Dickie alongside him but if manning isn’t going to play him get him either out on loan or back in the unders to get him game time and rotate the unders to spend time on the bench

Our academy without doubt has been pretty successful however from people who no better than me nothing coming through in the next year that is going to improve our first team squad , we have the 3 players Bird , stokes , Murphy in the wings waiting to come in however none are currently playing 2 out with long term injuries and stokes is on the bench more than in Aldershot first 11 , the summer signing need to have proven quality ( no more ones for the future ffs ) we don’t need a lot 3 max in my eyes , Alex Scott type player Antoine semenyo type player perhaps a big number 9 but they need to be proven defensively sound as long as we don’t sell anyone , also manning needs to improve our style of football it simply isnt what the fans want to watch , there is deffo a team in there somewhere as results have shown . Just need the added players i identified and a manager with a change of philosophy.

If Stoke don’t beat Plymouth next Saturday they then have Southampton at the Dell ( old school ) then us at home that would be an interesting last game of the season , pay back for Wembley and put them down

Personally I thought they were one of the better if not the best of the lower league sides we have played

I have made this point before the better our first team get the higher the bar becomes for our academy players

Talking of players we should sign I’m not sure what deal he’s on and has taken a while to settle due to injury etc I have been very impressed with Haydn Roberts class act from what I’ve seen recently, him & Tanner ( who I have criticised) have been excellent as has Dickie

I have been chatting to a chap that I deal with through work who is city through and through and watches many of the games u18s u 23s etc and he said that the next batch of youngsters coming through are decent but deffo sees no Scott / semenyo / Kelly / Benarous coming through , last year there were a couple of names he thought would push for first team this year however he said they don’t seem to have kicked on for some reason or another . So as a few others have said perhaps there is a little lull in what’s coming through tbf we have had a decent run

I like most give him the first 10-12 games to give us some sort of game plan ( which at the moment is giving us average to ok points return ) however the style of football really has to improve . He needs a decent window and our business has to be done early , another big worry for me is that our so say ones for the future Bird / Murphy / Stokes are currently not even playing for there respective clubs , 2 injured and the other regularly on the bench atm

Totally agree there definitely a narrative for some posters on here bending over backwards because she was female as the other week there was a headline about ( Sam Alison ) I think his name is being the first black referee for however along or something like that , his colour or the refs gender should not even be mentioned , all I want is a decent consistent referee which in my eyes I thought today’s ref was decent but Wednesdays was excellent

I agree with nearly all your post however you don’t know she had to work 10 x harder than anyone else you are persuming , you no nothing about her or anyone else’s journey to being a top flight ref your just surmising, on saying that I thought todays ref was pretty good , like others have said Wednesdays ref was the best I can remember for a long time .

It’s banter phantom, wether you like it or not we are all different doesn’t make it right or wrong everybody different and we have to accept that , we seem to live in a society now if you don’t find it funny or don’t think it’s right people get called out , not aiming this at you it’s just how it is , social media certainly doesn’t help

I was saying 2 decent performances by the last 2 refs , we were poor first half ok no more 2nd half

Not interested that she was female or male but as long as she done a decent job , which she did well done ref , 2 good performances in 2 games and 3 pens now we got the refs sorted just need the team to step up

I said before the game we really start to get consistency in our performances from one game to another they go from pretty decent to really poor from week to week , 2nd half we weren’t bad but first half that was poor , mind you this hasn’t just happened under mannings watch this has been going on for years at city ( except cotts promotion season ) city rarely win back to back home games Saturday / Tuesday games

Must be honest I do find Man City boring quite often aswell , there very city like but then have the key players to open teams up
