Day 3 of the 1st test India v Australia. The Indian batting collapsed in their 1stinnings and now they need 441 to win. Currently India are 45/3. Are the Aussies brilliant or have India imploded since playing England only a few months ago?

India had scored nearly 700/6 in their innings. End of day 3 and the Bengalis have lost six wickets, but still have less than half India's runs.

Branching out from county cricket, South Africa completely outplayed Sri Lanka to win a series 5-0 and India had to work hard to beat England. India are now playing a test series against Bangladesh. The two teams may be geographic neighbours, but their standard of play is miles apart. India declared at over 600/6 on day 2 whilst the Bengalis finished on 41/1. Are the established Test playing nations drifting into two tiers?

Just an idle thought. The (London based) media always refer to City v Plymouth as a "derby" game. Griffin Park is two miles closer to AG than Home Park. How do we refer to this game; the M4 derby?
