Dominant display, with some really good football played. Only issue being that we only have 1 goal to show for it. Inexplicable miss from Weimann, COD has had 2 decent chances, Semenyo so close on another 2 occasions. 0-3 would not have flattered us. Have to assume PNE will show more in the 2nd half though.

Has played really well so far, bar two early poor crosses.

Having Martin on didn't do anything to help with the 2 Luton goals, which were pretty much their only chances... so not sure I buy in to needing him for that. He's not like Fammy who used to win countless defensive headers.

Hoping he proves me wrong, but I think asking Martin to play a 3rd game in 7 days is asking too much and we are likely to see a leg weary game from him. I'd have liked to start Weimann up top with Semenyo and Benarous in the ACM role. Difficult choice on the keeper, Max needs to show some guts today in coming out to catch/punch balls into the 6 yard box, unless of course Klose wins them all!

Surely today Bents has to come back in, otherwise PNE will cross into the 6 yard box at every opportunity to try and expose Max after both Luton goals. Also think Martin should not start (actually he should have been rested for Luton, then would have been fresh for today). Suspect he will really struggle if asked to start 3rd game in 7 days.

Exactly this, we have to bring in Bentley as Max's reluctance to come off the line will result in them delivering crosses into the 6 yard box at every opportunity. Last night's 2 goals should both have been claimed by the keeper, however poor the defenders were.

Whether as an ACM, or simply up front, that is where he has mainly played this season and it shows in his goal return. He is not good when asked to play wide in a midfield 4, as he offers little help to his fullback in a 4-4-2 and naturally drifts inside anyway so doesn't provide a wide attacking outlet either. LJ all too often asked him to play that role, NP rarely has.

Spot on. That is the trouble when you play Martin a few days after he has played a full 90+ mins, looked leg weary from the start. Should have been rested for PNE, now will be totally leaden footed after 2 full 90+ mins game if selected.

As dominant a display for the first 35 mins as I have seen from us in a long time. Just lacking a bit of quick movement and some poor crosses cost us. Bad call to play Chris Martin again. He was very good fresh against Cardiff, but expecting him to start again a few days later resulted in a predictable leg weary display. Now he is going to be even more leg weary if selected to start against PNE. P1ss poor goal keeping by Max at fault for both goals, as he was for Cardiff's 2nd. Bentley has to come back in. All that said should have ended 2-2 but for a shockingly poor finish by Wells in injury-time.
