It was so much better without slow coach Martin, really hope we have seen the last of him in the starting 11 . My only gripe (aside from the ref), is NP should have bought Wells on for either Weimann or Semenyo with about 20 mins to go when we were still in with a real chance of winning it.

Unlucky, but awful referring aside, we have only ourselves to blame... Semenyo puts it wide from 6 yards and James mishits volley which could have put us 2 up. Very silly challenge by Pring to gift them penalty. Seems King first yellow was for dissent after their pen, well as a seasoned pro he should know better, no doubt about 2nd yellow card. Overall a much more fluid performance without Martin, let's hope we stick to that next match.

It won't be a popular view, but you are right that he seem to have a low footballing IQ, so his undoubted physical attributes are far from maximised and I'm not sure that's ever going to change.

HT 1-1 great start with plenty of movement real shame we did not get 2nd goal play deserved, awful miss by Semenyo and James should have done better. After first 20 mins, more even game then a very silly challenge by Pring to gift them a pen.

Once again, having listened to NPs post-match interview in full, a very honest assessment by NP. You cannot really argue with anything he said. The thing is can he sort it out though? On that the jury is still out I'd say. He doesn't help himself by his obsession in playing Chris Martin all the time, defending starts from the front and his dire lack of mobility really does not help. The build-up to their 2nd goal started from CM failing to hold the ball.

Can anyone explain to me why Martin starts every game and is rarely subbed either. To me he gets worse and worse each passing game, rarely holds the ball up these days, cumbersome on the turn, so slow he offers no effective press, loses out more often than he wins aerial duels and even when he does get a flick on, it's rarely to a team mate. Defending starts from the front and with him lumbering about he offers no pressure on defenders. We have Wells, Conway is back fit now too. Surely one of them could start a game instead of what seems to be the all-time slowest City player I have ever seen. I just don't get it.

Yes he played well, showing more footballing intelligence. Shame he has Martin as his strike partner, cause he just gets worse and worse with every game he plays. Just do not understand what NP sees in him.
