  1. don;t worry he will be on as soon as Williams breaks down again...
  2. Could be right, but asking an awful lot of Scott, and COD ahead of Pring in that role, really? That said we needed to do something different, and Benarous starting is great to see.
  3. I'd like to see us play 4-3-3- or 4-1-2-3 with one midfielder sitting in front of back 4, Bakinson, Williams & Massengo if all fit, so just for once we don't get overrun in the middle of the park! Add in some proper pace and width with Semenyo, or if Semenyo not fit Benarous. Martin & Weimann up top I guess given their ok scoring record. Hope Conway makes the bench.
  4. COD played well for 45 mins and then completely went missing for the whole of the 2nd half, how he was not subbed off was just down to Flemings abysmal game management. Give me Scott any day over COD.
  5. Bakinson suffers the same as all our central midfielders because almost all the time, whatever the supposed formation, we end up with 2 in central midfield up against at least 3 from the opps.
  6. Sadly true, if he picks the same again he will lose whatever credibility he has left. The likes of Vyner, DaSilva, COD should not even be on the bench. Picking all 3 of Weimann, Wells & Martin is another mistake repeated over and over.
  7. Sadly I agree, if the game management (sic) at Coventry is anything to go by Fleming won't be organising us to pick up many more points. Can see us in the bottom 3 by Xmas.
  8. Now that Derby have been dealt with, hopefully EFL will turn their attention to punishing Reading. The aforementioned 9+3 points deduction would take them 6 points below us.
  9. CS coming here was my last hope to see a return to some decent football. Now we just have to hope that, partly via points deductions, there are 3 cr@pper sides than us.
  10. No, you really don't. COD had completely disappeared 2nd half and we had the perfect replacement on the bench for him in Benarous (possibly the most talented young player we have) someone who would have occupied the opposition and taken the game to them. Fleming didn't use him. We have Scott done in and needs replacing, we badly need another body in midfield, so Fleming brings on a left back who is bang out of form and moves Pring (who'd been doing ok at LB), to left flank, rather than using Palmer (who whatever you think of him, can pass the ball to a team mate more often than not). Then to cap it off, he takes Pring off, whose been ineffective on left flank since the unnecessary use of Dasilva and bring Wells on. What the heck he was thinking of I have no idea, no hindsight required!
  11. Shame he made such cr@p substitutions then, including not noticing COD had 'disappeared' for the entire 2nd half. If his game management at Coventry was anything to go by, he won't do us any good at all.
  12. If we could bring Shakespeare in as first team coach that MIGHT just make a difference. NP has not had any success at those clubs when he did not have Shakespeare.
  13. I would have given an 8 to Bakinson but nobody else. Pring played well at LB instead of needlessly being asked to take Scott' place for DaSilva to come on and play cr@p, I would have given Pring 7. Nobody else more than a 6. COD 7 for 1st half, 2 for 2nd half. Management team for dumb use of subs, 2/10.
  14. Spot on - our use of subs is dumb. Scott was all-in and needed to come off, but to bring on DaSilva was not the answer. We needed more presence in midfield, so whatever you think of him, Palmer coming on for Scott was the obvious swap. Palmer, at least, can successfully play passes to a team mate. Then there is COD, who totally went missing 2nd half (good 1st half) replace him with Benarous at the same time and we would have had fresh impetus and someone to carry the ball to the opposition's box. If Wells is to come on it needed to be for Martin. For me get the use of the subs right yesterday and we win the game.
  15. True, but you ain't going to find out without giving them a chance, 30 mins say, not just 10 mins at the end of a game. For me today would have been perfect to bring Benerous on, as COD just went missing in action for the 2nd half (after a good 1st half).
  16. Trouble is our management team keep picking the same failing players, or not subbing them, so other than professional pride why should they bother? Also our good younger players must be looking at it and thinking "why am I not getting a chance when our senior pros are repeatedly failing to deliver". Pearson has lost credibility to me and I can't see us turning this around whilst he continues in charge (and Yes I thought he was a great appt at first). This (out of likes).
  17. Well said. Really p1sses me off when you have someone like COD who after a good first half, disappears 2nd half AND stays on the pitch. Benarous running at their defence is exactly what we needed to occupy them and he was left get splinters in his arse, whist COD did nothing 2nd half. Bringing on Wells was a waste of time too. When are NP/CF going to learn that having Wells, Martin & Weimann on the pitch at the same time does not work.
  18. After another hugely disappointing result and performance. I will say that's the best game Bakinson has played in ages, disciplined, the only City player who passed accurately throughout. Put a great ball in when still 2-2 that Weimann should have collected and would have been in on goal. None of the trade-mark mistakes he often does, our best player (albeit a low bar to jump).
  19. I really do wonder whether we can trust NP to turn this around. Mark Robins was once in the running for us, oh to see the style of pass and move football that Coventry produced with only 10 men.
  20. Shockingly poor use of subs. COD, after decent 1st half, disappeared second half. He should have been subbed for sure.
