If you are going to play a midfield two, they both need to be athletic capable of getting up and down the pitch, just like Massengo (who I presume must not be 100% fit). Bakinson can be good on the ball, but off the ball he saunters around, James has not got the pace to get up and down and is much more suited to being in a 3.

If it is that leaves James & Bakinson in a midfield 2, which I think would be a disaster.

Playing such a high defensive line is suicide, all it needs is one good ball and a runner not getting caught offside and the opponents are in on goal, as per AWs first and Wells blown chance. Crazy tactics.

Me too, but have to say two very composed finishes for once. In contrast to Wells sky'ing it over the bar with about 15 mins to go, then taking the ball of benarous toe when he was about to shoot.

I agree with you, glimpses of talent there and certainly has some pace, hope he gets more minutes very soon.
