  1. Unfortunately, SLs empathy for LJ - who seems to be almost like some sort of surrogate son, has completely clouded his judgement - up to now...
  2. 1 win in 17 league matches is justification to sack anyone, never mind the first half today!
  3. Predictable that LJ would not be bold enough to start with two strikers, preferring the extra holding midfielder in Pack. Plenty of sideways passing ahead :-(
  4. I'd like to see a team selected to really go for it, but doubt LJ will do this. I expect to see a holding midfielder as well as Hegeler in the starting line-up, just to make sure we have plenty of sideways and backwards passing options. Rotherham will surely set-up to frustrate, and a cautious team selection and tactics from LJ will play into their hands. I predict a scrappy tense affair, but with Matty Taylor coming off the bench to score the winner, so just for once I'm going to agree with Rednwhiterob, 1-0 City.
  5. Sorry to be misery guts, but even after all the 'feel good factor' of pinching Matty Taylor for £300k, don't believe LJ will inspire us to a win tonight. More likely to 'improve' on our record of 8 league defeats in a row by making it 9. Truly hope, I'm wrong. BTW. Will Taylor be eligible to play, (although assume he would be on subs bench if so).?
  6. Nov 10th LJ brings in Dean Holden and Pembo's influence recedes... the rest is history.
  7. I do wish we played left footers on the left and right footers on the right!
  8. True, although I'll criticise LJ for lots of things he at least isn't afraid to use subs, so maybe LT for JP if Paterson is having one of his "gone into hiding" games.
  9. No but Forest have managed 5 shots off target and the only corner... Come on City!
  10. Nop can't argue with the line-up, with Tomlin 'in reserve' to replace Patterson if needed.
  11. Have a strange feeling of optimism about today's game, especially if the new keeper starts. Just hope LJ doesn't screw it up with poor team selection and tactics. As I've said in another thread if he can't get this squad, with our 4 new signings, back to comfortable mid-table, he really does need firing.
  12. Hoping to see a return to 2 up front, like when we beat them at home, IF LJ abandons his favoured 1 up top formation then I'll hope for 1-2 in our favour, if not then 2-1 to them. That said this is more of a 'must not lose' than a 'must win' for us and them I'd say.
  13. once again, we are having to take solace in results elsewhere... Wigan, Blackburn & Burton all losing.
