Tommy hadn’t made his debut by that point. It’s been suggested by the club previously that Yeboah’s development would be better suited by him staying with the first team squad. I appreciate that can change. He’ll also improve by getting minutes for the first team. It will give Liam some brownie points too.

Disappointing to read comments that “he’s found his level”. He’s only 17. Seems a bit of a step back in his development. With nothing to play for, he could’ve featured for us this season.

Why are people still comparing to Nigel’s record? I thought we had moved on. If you look at Liam’s record then it’s clear he’s underperforming with the squad available. I’d guess that JL and BT are expecting a lot more given their quotes when Liam was appointed.

This is always a nonsense argument. There is enough of a cross section here..it’s not as if it’s only posters on here who have these opinions.

We were third back in August too.

Have to back him for now. There is no way JL and BT will want to lose face and admit they were wrong. We’re out of contention for the playoffs so we need to start seeing some positive performances, if not results. If we don’t get that then the board need to have a serious think about next season.

I’ve never really understood the questioning of whether x, y or z player gets into a top team. They are all good players but a good team is greater than the sum of its parts. Liam has to get us a playing style that suits what we have. Freshen up the squad yes, but we don’t really need to start again.

Nigel gave opportunities to Scott and Conway. They weren’t inherited readymade. Some players you missed. Holden’s last staring 11 included Mariappa, Moore and Lansbury.
