Just had another look on the 15 min highlights on Sky, pausing the pics. Contact is clearly outside and Knight does a slightly artificial jump to take him into the area, so no pen. The covering defender is almost behind the goalie and there is a big ‘uncovered’ the keeper’s right, so it clearly is a scoring opp.
So well done ref.

Sky saying the foul looked inside the box?
I’m level with it. The initial contact was outside but he stayed on his feet into the area, was about to shoot then got clipped again. Pen and a red as not attempting to play the ball.
Oops got that wrong - not a pen and not sure it was a red either!

Need to move the ball quicker, with better movement, and make better decisions when we have chances. If we do we’ll win.

Even though Nigel is having a difficult time with his health and processing the unfair and unnecessary mistreatment he endured from the Lansdowns, Tinbrain and their minions, he still thinks and cares about our feelings.
And furthermore, he finds the time and the words to give us a timely tonic.
We had a very special bond.
He understood us, our hopes and expectations. We understood him and the way he was going about delivering our dreams (despite having his hands tied).
This was a special, unique relationship for between the Manager and fans of Bristol City FC.

Where there is error, let me bring truth.
Where there is doubt, let me bring faith.
Where there is despair, let me bring hope".

In fairness to Jon, unlike his dad he is a massive City fan through and through and has been since a young boy, the constant abuse he gets just doesn't sit easy with me
Agree. Criticise his / his dad’s decision making, pull him up if he’s demonstrably being economical with the truth. But no need to be personally unpleasant about him no matter how angry people are.

It would sum up our injury situation if we appoint a new manager who then gets blown off the roof!
I guess it depends how popular an appointment they are

I'd argue both of those appointments were based on his reputation as a player rather than his skillset as a manager.

While that is true, they strike me as loving that TV limelight . Frank would supply plenty of that, if not a winning team.
I am not a Frank fan boy, nor any of the others. Nige was the first one I really wanted in, but even then because I doubted Steve had the backbone to cope I didn't think that would happen. Took time , but still.
My thoughts are...
Cotterill underwhelmed = Brilliant
Coppel excited = did a runner
Jordan (2nd coming) excited = damp squib
LJ Underwhelmed = rollercoaster
GJ Underwhelmed = exciting
My point being, you never know what you will get. With the owners, the (invisible & pointless) Board and Manager it will take a massively bit of luck to get them all working together.Ward - gas - promotion!

Dangerous predicting wins against teams lower down in this league (realise that’s a bit of a cliche but there’s an element of truth in it). QPR have a new guy so may well get a bounce. Weds have finally won a game so likewise.
So might we of course from a new guy, although sacking a popular manager can sometimes have a negative effect on the dressing room.
But the big problem at the mo is injuries and that’s what worries me most about the next two games.

Sorry but I'm fed up of this rhetoric, I won't back Lampard and I don't think any fan who thinks he's incapable of the job should either.
"it's not Lampard fault"... No it's not, but if he's got an ounce of common sense he would look into the club, what's happened and understand that is the job he's accepting, one where the fans already had a manager they wanted and the board took him away, the same board that would be appointing him to do as they say.
I've spent years and years backing the new man because I believed that board were looking out for the best interests of the club, by sacking Pearson because they had an issue with him they showed that their own feelings matter more than what's best for the club and the fans. Cheering on an inferior replacement isn't going to achieve anything other than to show the board they can do as they please and the fans will do exactly what the board want them to do.
If ever the board has had to get an appointment spot on perfect, it's now and Lampard would be nothing more than a PR stunt that will ultimately backfire.
As said elsewhere football management is supply and demand, with supply of managers being much greater than available posts. Managers will take jobs at clubs in varying degrees of distress / mis management because that’s what they have to do.
So whoever it is (and I don’t want Lampard at all) they’ll get my support, as ultimately not wanting the team to succeed because of the owners is cutting off your nose to spite your face, imho.

The same Mourinho that sold De Bruyne and Salah; the same Pep who fell out with Ibra and was openly disrespected by Messi in the changing room; the same Tuchel that got knocked out of the German Cup by a third division side last night….
…you can do this for every manager.
But haven’t those managers won things? Just a thought.

Yeah but imagine how good he would be if Pearson had given him 30 minutes in the league cup...
Of all the things that people are trying to throw and lobby against Nige, James Morton is a strange one...
I blame Nige for not giving Marv Brown enough minutes and helping him become our first million pound player
