Kid with an IQ of 162 - City fan? (Merged)
East End Old Boy replied to GrahamC's topic in Football Chat
Good spot! The North Devon Gazette states: “He is also an avid Bristol City Football Club supporter.” -
Parking tickets - near Ashton Inn 😒

It’s a shame people don’t walk on the pavement, walking 2 or even 3 abreast in the road is stupid and asking for an accident to happen! -

I’d say they’ve been there for a couple of years? -
Starting to train with the first team on Tuesday’s. There’s been interest from League one clubs, but staying at Newport for the time being.

I actually like the camera position! Been watching the TV coverage of last night’s game this afternoon and it’s much better for assessing the positional set up - which is the same for rugby! Although, I dislike like the frequent changes to pitch side etc. fine for any replays. As an example the change to pitch side missed the timing of Tommy’s run for the goal, which again happens in rugby coverage!

Published yes, actual bums on seats (or safe standing!) no. Dave Storr, the safety officer, did a talk at a Senior Reds lunch and said due to the number of no shows at the rugby, the Manchester City game holds the rebuilt stadium’s highest actual attendance!

I gained entry by scanning the bar code!
-
I saved my ticket onto my phone, so didn’t need to try and download. Surely this is the sensible thing to do, especially if you’ve got multiple tickets to scan?
-
I think that’s the City Mill River, not a stream?!
-
The attendance was 2,772!

West Ham : Posted tickets and collections
East End Old Boy replied to devoncider's topic in Football Chat
I discussed this with Jerry at the Senior Reds lunch last month, as he kindly provided me with my ticket for the game at that time. He explained the reasonings and mentioned ball park numbers which, I presume, became blurred in Thatchers Gold! -
Should we Re-merge the ex-players forum into football chat?
East End Old Boy replied to Silvio Dante's topic in Football Chat
Learn something new everyday, as didn’t know there was a sub forum! Although, when I see a thread with multiple pages I very rarely read them these days - not a fan of everything being lumped together! -
West Ham : Posted tickets and collections
East End Old Boy replied to devoncider's topic in Football Chat
Spot on! West Ham offered an either or option, tickets or digital. But because 6k season ticket holders aren’t digital the club had no option than agree to tickets. In context, West Ham have 45k season ticket holders and only 2k are not digital. We have 14k season tickets where 6k have cards! -
Yep, which is what I previously stated!
-
Interesting, as Mark Kelly and/or Gavin Marshall said the stadium was ultimately owned by Pula Sports at the Senior Reds lunch last month?
-
I thought Pula Sports were sole owners of the stadium, which is just Steve and Maggie?

Senior Reds today, guest Jon Lansdown

Good summary, thank you. The first question included why are the accounts overdue, which was incorrect as they’re not due for another 3 months I believe? Also, I missed him including Brian Tinnion, and the context, in the Phil Alexander answer! -
My guess was 6, but hoping for 5, as you say was amazed, but pleased, to see 3!

Actually, it’s well known that the strategy IS to find almost readymade players at smaller clubs, improve and sell on!

Yep, Gavin explained this at this month’s Senior Reds lunch.
