Huge game for Stockport tomorrow at FGR. Wrexham and Mansfield lock horns and so a Stockport win could put them into a very strong position with just a handful of games to go. Fully expect them to beat FGR comfortably and expect the away following to be very strong both in numbers and voice.

Oh and I fully expect City to put Leicester to the sword in the same way they did Southampton in front of the Sky cameras so thank you for missing the game and ensuring the victory. Enjoy watching it on TV though with your vegan pie and coffee that tastes like watered down mud.

    Amen.

  3. We will win tonight.

Great recent record against them. Last 6....won 4, drew 1, lost 1.

    All the pressure on them.

Tommy will get 2 and Mehmeti 1.

Looking forward to hearing the Home fans moaning.

I'm anticipating a different City tonight, positive football, passing forward, attacking from the off, maintaining good possession and scoring a few goals.............Only joking 😀

    That's what I heard too

  4. Can't remember the last time we were this big a price with the bookies to win a home league game! Are Ipswich really all that ? They've had a fantastic start but I fully expect their form to dip fairly soon....... hopefully starting tonight! Wouldn't be at all surprised if we turned them over like we did Plymouth. I reckon the manager, players and just as importantly the fans will be right up for it tonight.

Let's make it a special evening and jump into those playoff places with a bang !!

  5. City were outstanding on the night. The better team. Outplayed a young Spurs side. A number of good opportunities but failed to convert. Sucker punch Penalty very late on. We really are blessed with some very good youngsters. The future is very bright.

Super crowd tonight. Must have been at least 1500. Most of which were Spurs fans.

Don’t really follow the Prem but according to the preview of their game with Chelsea today Burnley have 6 missing through injury & despite Prem clubs naming 9 subs he still can’t make their bench.

Wasn’t expecting him to be a starter but surely he’s fit enough by now to be involved so if he’s not in their first 26 players he’s a very long way off selection, isn’t he?

He just isn't up to that standard at all. They signed him to sell him for a profit. Pure business. He wouldn't get into our side now. That says it all.

  7. We have to be careful what we wish for. It's been slow progress for sure under Nige but we definitely have improved under him year on year both as a team and squad. He's been under certain financial restraints which other managers would have struggled to work with but has kept to the script to fall within FFP regulations. We are starting to see glimpses of the squad all pulling together the same way and I do see some identity now when I watch them. With a little more luck with injuries going forward I do think we could be in or around the playoffs at the turn of the year and who knows what can happen from there. Nige does need to feel wanted though in order to finish the job and we can play a big part in that. He needs our support. I for one will give him mine.

  8. 15 points from 10 is a decent start. I remember Gary Johnson always targeted minimum 17 points from every block of 10 in order to get to playoffs . He didn't care where that got them from. It was a good way to go about things imo. We are just two points off that so I'm happy with the start. Tonight wasn't clever but we win and that's all that matters. Two brilliant strikes from Tommy, the only two bits of quality in the whole game. He's going to be some striker. Onwards and upwards. Now go and put on a performance at Leeds.

For me, out season won’t be measured against teams like Leicester or Leeds, but your Brum’s, Hull’s, Sunderland’s etc.

Exactly this. Not expecting anything from Leicester . Hoping we may get a backs to the wall draw but feel we will have to score 2 with their firepower which will be very difficult. Lose and we just move on to the next one and pick up more points . We'll give it a good go though.

Really hope so as WBA and Plymouth visit us next then it doesnt get easier, harder in fact; Liecs and Stoke away; tough month but point is there are NO easy games and we have lost some good players and yet it seems SL is content to sit on the wadge and do.....not a lot.

    signed worried bedwetter

Could work out that we are better than Plymouth, WB, Stoke........maybe not Leicester. We just don't know yet.

I just don't get this level of reaction after 4 league games and 6 games total. It's crazy!

If you really think the performances and results after that number of games are indicative of how the whole season will play out then 1. I think you are wrong, but 2. You should also be considering how the teams we have played are doing.

Preston, we drew - they are 5th (joint on points with the team in 2nd). If they had beaten us they would be joint top.

Oxford Utd, we won - they are top of the league 1 and we beat them 5-1

Millwall, we won - they are 11th and 1 point ahead of us.

Birmingham, we lost - they are 3rd (joint on points with the team in 2nd). - we were terrible in this game

Hull, we drew - they are 8th 2 points ahead of use and 3 off second place. - We should have won this game - their own fans thought we could have had 3-4 goals.

Norwich, we lost they are 2nd.

Our three worst performances are against the team's joint 2nd and one of those we drew.

Agree. On current paper , looks like we've had a tough opening to the season. Time will tell.

Swansea have had a desperate start so we should pick up 3 points there if the early table isn't lying.

Time for a Roberts Pring combo down the left?

Neither Mehmeti nor Bell convince me at all

Definitely time. Roberts needs to start. Bell a great asset off the bench though.

Thought Max was very poor Saturday but made a few brilliant saves tonight so certainly made up for it.

4 points from two very good away performances. Just need to get our home form right and we will be ok.
