  1. I’d assume King isn’t fully fit. He’s very much NPs fallback option. Vyner and Scott were advised as both tactical changes Weds so I’m going for them being dropped. One thing is sure - Tanner has a real opportunity to make the RB spot his own
  2. During the pandemic, Arsenal first put Gunnarsauraus on furlough before finally making him redundant. He only got his job back when Mesut Ozil paid his wages for a period. My guess is that the club still have Scrumpy on furlough and will bring him back soon. (NB - I’m aware Gunnarsauraus is not a real dinosaur and Scrumpy not a real Robin, I’m clearly referring to the people in the suits before someone pulls me up on that!)
  3. I’m quite pleased with how this prediction panned out!
  4. I think you’ll find it’s Hughton that’s been sacked old bean. Its good news for everyone as it means people can STOP GETTING IT WRONG!!
  5. I sit block E30, so about halfway line and in upper tier and can hear the South Stand loud and clear…
  6. Jesus man, you can’t hear the tannoy, now you can’t hear the singing section. Have you considered you just might be deaf and pissing off Mark Kelly for no good reason?
  7. I’m asking for ****ing royalties from it in future..!
  8. At least the women’s team are doing the famous quarters proud and dispatching of village teams in FA cup qualifying…
  9. I haven’t read the whole thing but it’s safe to say, he seems a tad under pressure
  10. This is very pedestrian at the moment and as such we’re being sucked into a bit of their game. I’d be wanting a bit more urgency at half time - be tempted to take King and Pring off for Scott and Semenyo - move Massengo into CM. We’re slow in attack and slow to them in the middle and need a lot more in there.
  11. Fair play - Cardiff goals already in pre match “Galvanize” vid ?
  12. When your mashed up food and pills are delivered by the retirement home orderlies…
  13. Saw Yate vs Dorchester at Lodge Road last year. Yate won that one 4-1 (Will Buse was in goal for Dorchester) - add in that Yate have had a good start to the season and won all their away games to date and it’s a result which was hoped for if not anticipated. I’m hoping that Yate at least get upper mid table this year.
  14. @TBW - didn’t think you’d want to miss the update ?
  15. Just on Ipswich’s outs, this is their third(?) season at league one. My town supporting mate, who is hugely Ashton sceptical, tells me that price of football reported their average wage in the first league one season as £6k p/w, with a significantly sized squad. I’ve no doubt some “in”s are on a decent wedge (eg Morsy), but if you take the wage depression that would have been caused by Covid in line with the above info on prior finances, it’s not a definite that they’ve had a significant wage uplift.
  16. Not just Wilson and Skuse, but higher earners such as Chambers and Sears, together with making a couple of million on Downes and Dozzell. They’re probably fine FFP wise this year, it’s when there’s no family silver left to sell.
  17. Indeed. Successful is subjective in some cases. I have no love for Ashton but the hit rate is nowhere near as bad as that chart is suggesting. It may be better worked with some “jury out” colouring but it’s also harsh to say Massengo, Williams (Ashley - on the basis of a free and did a solid job), Taylor (see price paid vs contribution), Weimann, Paterson etc aren’t successes based on overall club contribution. I’d also not say Ty is an unqualified success. To look at “success” from another angle here, take Szmodics. Didn’t look good enough to me but we made a profit on him. Not a signing I’d make (and I think it was an Ashton signing to try and appreciate value), but do we argue it’s not a success when it’s made cash? Theres plenty to hang Ashton on without going into something so subjective
  18. “Glenn Whelans giving up football - he’s signed for Bristol Rovers”
  19. They’ve just signed another one - Sam Morsy. Decent get that. Ashtons post window self wankfest is going to have to be released as a six part box set as opposed to a single interview.
  20. We didn’t - I got injured and the club fixed a game up. Both inconsiderate. We need to do it though.
  21. We actually lined up at the very start with 3x CBs - Atkinson centre with a Kalas right and Baker left, all of them within the “D”
  22. Considering (I think) this is Tom Abells first innings back post injury he’s been ridiculous. This has been superb, and although I’m glad England aren’t picking him, how he’s not in the conversation for the test team is insane.
  23. Isn’t it a run out technically, as he’s hit it?
