  1. “Sources say that it was a difficult labour are wide of the mark, and it is believed McGregor is in the market for a further child to strengthen his care in retirement”
  2. Not the only game to be off for this reason, but considering the teams aren’t that far apart geographically really shows the extent of shortages. So, are you stocked up for Millwall and Peterborough? If not, get to the pumps. PANIC! (Deliberately kept politically free. There’s a thread for that)
  3. “Let me be clear. An opportunity arose that was good for my nuts, and I’ll always put the interests of these gonads first. My clangers have now got exactly what they’ve needed and asked for, and it’s up to them to perform”
  4. U23s are away at Ipswich this afternoon. Wonder if Ashtons ready to go all “David Pleat” should they sneak a late equaliser
  5. It doesn’t matter - Wyclef Jean and The Rock
  6. Moeen announcing retirement from tests. Really pisses me off this one - we keep going cap in hand to him when alternates (Leach) who are better spinners are available, and he doesn’t justify his place as a batter. Now he’s retiring - the ashes issue acknowledged here, but it smacks of shit planning by England. They’ve basically called him back in for limited benefit over a limited time and stunted the long term growth of the side.
  7. Are you saying you’ve Started something that you couldn’t finish
  8. The one for me was Pete Townshends. Couldn’t even finish it, came across as a sanctimonious arsehole.
  9. I do have a recollection that after that nice Mr Devon White had been (I think) stabbed with some scissors by his neighbour. Next time we played them the whole city end sang the “Neighbours” theme tune, and “We love Devons neighbour”…
  10. There is only ever one right answer to this. Doobie-Doobie-Doo Ba-Doobie-Doobie-Doo Ba- Doobie-Doobie-Dum-Dum Doobie-Doobie-Dum-Dum Doobie-Doobie-Dum-Dum-Dum
  11. Well, not everyone feels the same way…
  12. Thing here is this. He’s playing first half against Antonee Robinson, probably the best left back in the division, and Bobby Reid - out of position slightly but we know his qualities. He’s playing with Weimann in front of him, who will work exceptionally hard but isn’t a natural LM. He’s then playing second half against Robinson and Kabano. In his second game at this level. Three weeks ago he was playing teams of the gas standard, not lower end prem players. And he did absolutely fine. Nige likes “defenders who can defend” - he did that in spades. Really happy with that as a home debut
  13. I’ve just recalled another JW highlight today. About 65-70 in, Kalas was lining up a long throw - which today worked quite well. For the first time since he’s started doing them, one of our players ran in to receive the ball instead - Williams. Quick take and ball back led to a great ball from Kalas narrowly headed over by Wells. We all think the throws can be predictable- do that every now and again and they won’t be
  14. The not sending off the 12 (Chalobah) for his second tackle affected the game massively. Silva had to take him off half time as one more foul and he was gone, and the quicker of foot/thought Harrison Reed was very effective second half and provided a lot of impetus to their goal. But Fulham should never had opportunity to make that sub
  15. I think it was on about 70-75 minutes, edge of their box, he practically went through two and got the ball. One of those where you can see how he gets yellows, but jeez - that’s commitment Shout out to Tanner for the same today as well
  16. Incidentally I’m normally in the concourse at HT. What the **** is this hard house techno all the way through the break? Did Downsie just find some uppers in the medical room??
  17. Well at HT I’d take that. They’ve had more ball, which was expected, but we’ve been lively, and grown into it as the half went on. We haven’t been pressured with loads of chances, which is down to good organisation defensively. Kalas looking sound in defence, Tanner - as said, great aggression, Wells working very hard. There’s something in this for us.
  18. Tanner likes a tackle doesn’t he? Hit two of theirs so far, no quarter given
  19. Realistically, Fulham look the strongest side in the division on paper. Of the changes, I’d have brought Dasilva in anyway to cope with the movement - it’s HNM as we know that’s the miss. I’d take a point today - but it’s also about that time in any Marco Silvas team reign when the wheels come off so let’s hope that happens!
  20. Ex gas Jonson Clarke-Harris will miss our game against Peterborough a week on Saturday - been banned for four matches for offensive social media posts. I’m assuming this retweet was one of them.
  21. What the **** do you think you’re playing at???
  22. Well this is the game you’re after: https://www.11v11.com/matches/england-v-turkey-15-october-1985-257819/ However, only mentions the subs that came on. There was a period when England called up players from the club where the game was played (I recall Matt Hewlett making the squad vs Italy U21), but that one I can’t recall. I can’t, however, even with England following that route, see them having called up Marshall who was a bit part winger at a div 3 side - happy to be wrong though!
