  1. I think there may be a lot of nuances. I’m in South Glos, let’s say for example I’m in tier 3 and Ashtons in tier 2 - assumedly, I can’t attend even if it’s my rotation game. Even if I’m tier 2 and Ashtons tier 2, as non essential travel can I attend?
  2. I see they’re playing Chelsea U23 at the moment. Chelsea including Billy Gilmour and Danny Drinkwater. Wael must be punching himself in the face.
  3. Years ago, just after Tisdale had signed for us from Soton, I took a call from him at my work. Spoke for about 20 minutes - really nice guy, intelligent, articulate and as has been said, immaculately dressed and plays decent football. They’ll think he’s a witch.
  4. He was, finished his career. In fairness, I believe Robbo was implying he listened to Darren on the radio in the car as opposed to Darren boring him witless in the vehicle itself.
  5. ****ing hell. Darren sounded on the verge of suicide every time he was interviewed at Yeovil. Asking him to manage Rovers in a pandemic at what with all the tents could double for a field hospital may just finish him off.
  6. Tbf, you’d think he’d come cheap as all he’d ask for would be a greggs open tab. However, that could end up being verrry expensive:
  7. The thread on their forum seems to suggest they want LJ or Paul Cook.
  8. Well. Here’s the initial list of contenders. Believe it’s only Holloway in work of that group, which shows what a pull they are compared to other clubs.
  9. To be fair to their fans, at least one of them has him down pat:
  10. Yep. This feels like a very risky move by the distributors. There’s no point in delaying the film for cinema screening if no cinemas are left to show it. Could have foreseen it being shown on every screen in some cinemas in November due to limited other releases and cashing in, but now there is a definite chance that the revenue brought in will be that much more reduced. I’d bet Cineworld would have stayed open if Bond hadn’t moved....
  11. Petition has just reached 100,000 signatures and will therefore be debated in parliament. I propose tacking on an amendment in relation to allowing grouse shooting in stadiums to guarantee its passing.
  12. The rules at cinemas is that you have to be masked up unless you’re eating. I only twigged this on Saturday when every other bastard walked in with a king size popcorn
  13. Good to see the club backing the petition to #letfansin Whether you want to attend or not, the Government’s stance, while allowing the O2 to open, will cripple clubs smaller than us and it has to be the right thing to sign. If it’s “relatively” safe indoors at the RAH, it’s the same at Ashton Gate.
  14. Aren’t we all (when not hungover/injured) pretty similar paces too? Could make for an interesting 10k!
  15. It’s important to note that the poll was put up a couple of weeks ago and we’ve had the large uptick in cases since, so the figures may have amended based on that. Personally, I’d still attend. I went to the cinema on Saturday and sat in a room masked up - I can’t see how that’s safer than doing the same in the open air. Yes, there are definite pinch points (how do you get everyone out at full time without there being a crowd for example), but it does seem a touch nonsensical. I think the truth is as you say - COVID isn’t going anywhere so it’s whether we live with it, in as safe a manner as we can, or end up with severe long lasting societal damage.
  16. I’ve always (well since I started running) thought that you’re a real runner if when it’s pissing it down outside, you still go. It shows you’re going for the love of it and not for show. Plus, there’s no better feeling than a warm shower after a wet run. In a lot of ways, it’s actually better than running in summer - no heat fatigue and as long as no wind...there’s no excuse. Unless, like me, your default route is unlit country lanes and it’s getting dark!
  17. For all the slating of our social media team, fair play..,
  18. Brooks Ghosts Have been through loads of different trainers, including other brooks, but the ghosts absolutely piss on them. Last a long time, really comfortable and not excessively pricey. Good choice
  19. To be fair, the one thing amongst his word salad that Gove said was sensible was that it wasn’t about necessarily the watching of the game, it was the crowds in the concourses and tubes/buses etc at pinch points like half time etc. Its also worth saying that some teams have turned down the pilot events because they would lose money if less than x fans came in. If I take the blue few, the Memorial isn’t really set up to allow a good flow for exit/entrance without pinch points so even on a small attendance, there is some logic. Even at Yate Town the other night, total social distance inside but at exit it was a bit of a slow crowd shuffle. Its a problem that has to be solved, or the consequences in the lower leagues will be dire, but there is at least a modicum of logic
  20. I believe my 8 year old is slightly more psychotic than yours....so if your wife is in trouble god help mine!
  21. I’d agree on the pre existing conditions piece. May even suggest that’s something clubs will be asked to enforce (maybe fans when applying do a self declaration) I think all the club can do is ask for expressions of interest (including on a family basis to avoid an 8 year old getting a ticket with no adult!) and then randomly select. Polls showing about 50/50 at present
