Whole-hearted, head it, kick it, tackle it (all players get it wrong from time to time btw aka Forest) player who City are better off with,  defensively in the team.

Hope the guy recovers well. A Baker fan here.

Yep - just needs to wear a head guard in future.

Is it time for SL to sell up . Obviously Covid and the millions he has spent are taking its toll . Plus his openness for investment. The club is stagnant at this present time. Who would like new ownership.

Not a dig at SL by any means but I feel the club needs a new direction

But who would buy us with for what Steve would want + the complexities of Bristol Sport ownership and Bears?

Shock horror losing to another parachute funded top 3 team, awaiting the typical OTIB meltdown.

Meltdown that after losing Forest the Forest game in the manner we did - would have expected a  performance with a bit of character and to compete.

Hate to say it but we are a shambles all over the pitch and will be dragged in to a relagation battle.

Would love to be proved wrong.

Don't think that was on the original plans, perhaps they saw my comments.  Though I was meaning more from along the side of the arena, so all facilities were accessible.

Bridge from Landsdown to hotel has always been part of the plans - would want the prawn sandwich brigade to be a able to stumble to their beds + wedding receptions etc.

They’ve just approved a 16 storey tower block as part of the Bedminster Green project behind St. Katherine’s Precinct mind so I wouldn’t be so sure. Maybe going for 17 is a ploy. Ask for more than you need and negotiate down to what you wanted in the first place anyway!

Yep - think they tried for 21 storey in Bedmi Green which was rejected.

AG tower probably end up circa 13 storeys !

Look forward to seeing this progress.

    https://www.ashtongatestadium.co.uk/development-plans/

Had the leaflet pop thru the door earlier about the latest consultation over the AG Sporting Quarter development. Obviously they're planning to push ahead and the housing site seems to have been changed from Cumberland Village to Longmoor Village and (unsurprisingly) there is no longer any reference to the pie in the sky train stop opposite the site.

Still looks good mind - and I'm sure developers who can manage such a big project protecting lots of local jobs would be keen to give competetive quotes in the current climate to keep the money coming in!

Thanks for posting - have been thinking about this recently and presuming that we would not see anything on it for few years.

Nice to see SL still has an appetite for it and the plans do look impressive - not sure that 17 storey block will get through PP though !

Not seen any of this in local press today which is a surprise.

But all the developments are in the north of st Phillips surrounding the feeder, the fruit market area is and will continue to be for some time very much an industrial area.

Their nearest neighbours would be the dogs home (Dopey Darrell will be gutted) and a concrete plant......screed head, screed head!

All the development  I listed yes - but there is a masterplan for all of St Philip's where Marv is banking on shed load of new homes - this the next logical area.

There's a bit online about this area with some saying has potential to be "Bristol's Kings Cross" .

It’s in the middle of an industrial estate with wholesalers and tips. They’re welcome to it.

Big plans to redevelop large areas of St Philips though.

After the University Campus, Arena Island, Silverthorne Lane developments the whole area will look very different.

Will be interesting to see how the stadium will be financed and how the planning application progresses - long way to go yet.

Patchway (Gas), Horfield (Gas), Eastville (Gas), Staple Hill (Gas), Fishponds (Gas), Kingswood (Gas), Cadbury Heath/Banjo (Gas), Yate (Gas)

Yate tradionally was a Gas area without a doubt.

However, when the town expanded  (mostly during the 70s + 80s) families relocated from all over Bristol and thankfully tipped the balance which is now firmly in City's favour.

Having gone through secondry school (early 90's) my age group was always majority of City fans - but the older generations more Gas.

When my age group hit the pub scene in the mid 90's and on to the 00's you could see a big change with City fanbase getting larger and the Gas reducing.

I think the worrying thing for the Gas now is the lack of new fans coming through for them.

It is evident that for the youngsters, City shirts are a far more common site than Gas shirts - there is a definate lack of blue shirts being worn in an around Yate nowadays - ???
