Preferred it when they were down by the docks.

Luckily I don't have any shares, so I can't and hopefully their vanity will ultimately drive them to the wall. I can see it being a prolonged process.

But surely there is a shortage of clubs worth buying? I do not understand what the business model would be if UWE is dead. On the footballing side they are a long way behind us and have little chance of approaching anything like our support base - particularly in a city where apathy rules; I am not sure how they start to break even, let alone turn a profit. They are limited in off field activities, although I would have thought revisiting their old student accommodation plans may be a possibility. They may find someone who will invest on an emotional basis, but on a commercial basis? I am not so sure. (Although I might have said the same about Bournemouth...........) They shouldn't go into administration yet as there are a variety of things they can do, but none of them do anything but buy some time. Their best bet, if nothing comes of the appeal (and even if they subsequently got some investment) may be to turn themselves into some kind of part time community super-club.

Their grounds for appeal are that they wear the envied Blue & White quarters, are (with good reason, I may add) called the Pirates, sing a dirge about a suicidal prostitute called Eileen, have the best support in the country and they shouldn't have been relegated anyway because Wycombe cheated.

Didn't they take out the Wonga loan partly to fund the original case? If so they will struggle to refinance that and fund an appeal. One of these days their board will wake up and find they are trading insolvently. They are just digging a deeper & deeper hole for themselves. It is hilarious.

Oh yes, how is your sister?

You do keep banging on about the Ayling incident, but at one of our corners Smith should clearly have been awarded a penalty. Maybe the ref was evening things up or maybe he just wasn't very good. If the two teams had decided to start niggling against each other I have no confidence that the ref would have been able to control it.

Yes I probably would, but not at the finish. Overall I thought we looked the more dangerous and accomplished of two very good sides and I was disappointed we didn't win. Little was a little below par, but I thought Bryan had another great game. It was interesting to have Smith and Wilbraham playing in the same game; the ball stuck up front much better once WIlbs came on.
